After learning about Chad's utter cluelessness, Mr. Shin fires him as Titan CEO. Taking pity on him, Jake hires Chad to assist with oil changes at his garage.

Fired as a nanny, the penniless Gwen becomes the official Town Square panhandler, where she earns more money than she ever did working for the stingy DiMeras.

For outing Philly K.'s money laundering scheme, Victor rewards Xander and Sarah with a bigger room at the K-mansion and their own personal maid and valet.

Fired by Titan after his evil deeds are discovered, Charlie starts selling cut-rate pot in direct competition with Rory.

After learning about Sarah's success in outing Philly K. as a money-launderer, Patch hires her as a part-time private detective at Basic Black. Sarah then starts introducing herself by saying: "Hi, I'm a doctor and a private eye."

Busted for kidnapping the Grant twins, Ivan ends up in state prison where he and Gus entertain the other convicts with unbelievable tales of life with their batty "madame."
 
Victor comes to his senses, demotes Philip to the Titan mailroom and in the interest of good taste takes away his hair gel.

Salem's Daughters of Scotland chapter names Xander Scotsman of the Year and to raise money starts selling shirtless Xander calendars.

Gabi and Abby's kidnapping of Gwen is quickly discovered and they become star boarders at Rafe's jail where they continue to bicker with each other.

For bedding and keeping Jake, Kate is named Cougar of the Year by like-Salem's like-minded women.

Kristen's absurd impersonation of Susan Banks is discovered and she reverts to her status as an inmate, all the while making threats against Chloe.

Susan Banks also becomes an inmate, getting six months in jail for aiding Kristen's escape. As soon as she is behind bars, she tells anyone who will listen that the judge was mean, mean, mean.

Marlena has finally had enough of "Susan." She kicks her out of the Town House and suggests that she stay at the Salem Motel 6 out by the Interstate. "Susan's" cries of "mean, mean, mean" have no effect on Doc Evans.

Running low on funds, possibly pregnant Gwen moves into the Motel 6. She then demands that Jack see to it that his grandchild doesn't have to spend the most formative months of its new life in a budget motel.

Impressed by Xander's record as head of Titan, Amazon offers him the job as head of its huge Salem distribution center. To sweeten the offer, they offer to put his shirtless picture on all the delivery trucks.

The Town Square restaurant gives Claire her old waitressing position. Back on the job, Claire increases the size of her tips by telling her customerss entertaining stories about Bayview.

Steve returns to doing active PI work for Basic Black. To keep him company on long, boring stakeouts, he borrows Baby Henry's teddy bear, Patchy Bear.

I already order too much from Amazon. Shirtless Xander on the trucks? I'd never shush the Beast again when he barked and I'd start ordering single items so I'd get deliveries every day. :rotfl:

Finding out his newly discovered pregnant daughter is in a seedy motel, Jack moves Gwen into a guest room at the Horton House, to the dismay of Julie and even Jennifer and the ire of Abigail.
 
Realizing at last that Brady is a clueless nitwit, Nicole reluctantly increases Xander's job responsibilities.

Disgusted by Philip swooning over Chloe, Victor ponders demoting him to the greenhouse and bringing back Big Boy Sonny as Titan CEO.

Still feeling his new daughter's pain, Jack tries to show his confidence in Gwen by making her the executor of his new will, totally outraging Abigail and Jenny.

Dismayed by Jake's obsession with scheming, "blind" Kate, Li Shin warns him that he'd better get his act together lest he end up back doing oil changes and engine rebuilds.

Underwhelmed by Dr. Synder's lack of a good bedside manner, Kayla warns him that he'd better shape up unless he wants to end up changing bed pans.
 
Gabi takes a trip up to Duluth, visits the Glensheen Mansion, and gets a wonderful idea. Returning to Salem, she evicts all the moochers from DiMera Mansion, turns it into a museum of sorts, complete with guided tours which include the dungeons & tunnels. Stefano's portrait is prominent of course, the guides tell the tales of Stefano's evil deeds, as they take the tourists throughout the place. Word gets around, & Gabi is making a fortune.

P.S. For those wondering, up in Duluth, Glensheen is infamous as the mansion where daughter & her hubby murdered mama, blood everywhere, nurse also murdered. Motive was monetary. Yes, I took the tour, and you can read about it (see pics of mansion)

Poirot, thanks for this. The Duluth mansion looks like a great place to visit. It brought to mind the Lizzie Borden house in Fall River, MA, which operates as a bed and breakfast and also offers tours (https://lizzie-borden.com). Among the many rooms where people can stay the night is the one where Ms. Borden was murdered ($300 a night). As for kicking out the moochers and reimagining the DiMansion as b&b/museum, this would be a better business move for Gabi than her tacky fashion business, GabiChic. Think of all the attractions: the room where Sami shot EJ, the room where the Stefano imposter was murdered, the room where Abigail tried to set fire to Ben, the Kate-Jake love nest, a chance to sit on the infamous love couch, the Faye Walker death stairs, the spot where Bart was killed with a sword, and, of course, the mysterious tunnels and dungeon rooms.
 
A fed-up Victor decides to put ex-president Philly in charge of Titan custodial services, i..e., cleaning toilets.

Foiled in all their corporate plots, Jake and Gabi buy a taco truck, planning to sell Mexican food favorites and Mami's specialties at a location near the Town Square.

Fed up with Lani's failure to do any detecting, Rafe assigns her to writing parking tickets in downtown Salem.

Deciding Johnny needs to start at the bottom of the movie industry, EJ buys him a video camera and sends him out on the streets of Salem to look for interesting events, such as dancing ladies in the Town Square.

Realizing that Ciara will never do any meaningful work at Titan, Victor suggests that she see Roman about washing dishes at the Pub.

Impressed by Trippy's work and tired of being the only doctor at University Hospital, Kayla contacts the medical school about granting him his M.D. degree immediately.

Shaken by his experiences with Mar-Devil and realizing that he just can't handle the rough-stuff anymore, John retires from Basic Black and takes up knitting and birdwatching.
 
After watching Belle try to defend EJ, Nicole decides to get a quickie law degree from Salem University School of Law. She gets her JD in time to brilliantly defend Rafe against Melinda's trumped-up corruption charges. She does so well that Salemites start calling her the second Ted Laurent.

After listening to Maggie, Victor agrees to reinstate Xander as Titan CEO. He arrives just in time to crush the Gabi-Jack plot against the company and to assist Victor in his campaign to seize control of DiMera.

After her complicity in the Abigail plot is exposed, pariah Gwen goes from going to being unemployed in Salem to unemployed in the UK, where she lives in a cheap flat and subsists on vegemite sandwiches and oily fish-and-chips.

Angry about the way Chad slanted his testimony against EJ, the Shins demote him to DiMera washroom attendant. They also make plans for Sydney to someday attend Harvard Business School so she can eventually take over control of the compnay.

Dumped by Rafe for her role in the Abigail affair, Ava is reduced to trying to find love by reading personal ads in the Intruder.

Ousted as D.A. after EJ's successful appeal and the collapse of the Rafe investigation, Melinda talks to Victor about becoming chiief counsel for Titan where she can use her hard-charging approach against any and all enemies of his company.

After learning of Lucas's bungled kidnapping of Sami, Kate makes him promise never to change his last name back to Roberts.
 
Allie and Chanel realize that their culinary skills are actually sadly lacking. They leave Salem to enroll at the Culinary Institute of America. Nobody misses them.

The hospital board wises up, fires Burns and makes Kayla the chief administrator of the hospital.

TR Coates gives up the charade that he's a film producer and applies for relief at the Salem welfare office.

With no other candidates available, Victor finally breaks down and begs Xander to take the CEO job. Maggie rewards his good judgment with home-baked cookies and lemon bars.

Realizing that Shawn lacks the judgment required to be a Salem police officer, Rafe lets him go and suggests he apply to be a rent-a-cop at Salem U. or a hall monitor at Salem High.

Ben and Jake realize that reopening the auto repair shop is preferable to being unemployed.

With his poll numbers in the cellar, Mayor Abe rescues professional b/s artist Kate from the unemployment line and makes her his press spokesperson.
 
Victor gets fed up with Alex's crude behavior and banishes him to a K-Mansion garden shed.

After seeing Jada in action, Rafe puts her on the front desk where she can handle lost cat inquiries.

After observing Sloan's representation of Leo, the Salem Bar Association rates her unfit to even be a paralegal for Belle.

After learning that Rolf has a lab beneath the DiMansion, an angry Chad orders him to pack up and move into Jake's old repair shop.

After learning about his son's inappropriate behavior, Father Shin orders Li to return to Hong Kong where he'll work in the employee cafeteria.

Realizing that he's fresh out of family talent, Victor relents and gives Xander a top job at Titan.

After learning about Lucas's plans to plead guilty to kidnapping the Screecher, Kate petitions the court to have him declared incompetent to handle his own affairs
 
When her blackmail scheme is exposed, Sloan is convicted and disbarred. Once in prison, she starts her new career making license plates.

Fed up with Eric’s never ending luv problems, Roman reassigns him to the Pub kitchen where he won’t meet women.

Weary of hearing about all the drama at Basic Black, John reacquires the company, puts Brady in charge, but establishes firm rules against dating fellow employees.

Victor warns Alex that if he continues his horndog ways, he‘ll be demoted to the Kiriakis garden shed where he can get cozy with bags of fertilizer.

Impressed with Gwen's work at the Spectator, Alex offers her Nicole’s old Titan TV roving reporter position, which will involve digging for tasty dirt. Her show will be called “Dumpster Diving with Gwen.”
 
Now that they’re big-time newspaper magnates, Xander and Gwen hope that the can move into Salem high society.

Jobless Jack considers reviving his old mob and getting back into Salem politics with the goal of putting Abe out to pasture.

Jobless Jenny now plans to start confronting people full-time.

On the outs with Chanel, Allie is now planning to try comfy unemployment.

Gossip columnist Leo is now working on his TV interview schedule with the major networks.

Fed up with Eric drinking at the Pub, Roman sticks him in the kitchen where he can shuck clams and whip up batches of EJ chow.

Hoping to improve the quality of her clients, Sloan joins the Salem Country Club and Friends of the Salem Philharmonic.

Tired of Sarah’s lack of a good bedside manner, hospital administrator Burns threatens to demote her to changing bed pans.

After color photos of Alex’s wandering underwear are published in the Intruder, he is voted Salem’s worst-dressed young Romeo.
