This was on 2/9 and was a good movie. Got very "edge of your seat", and I kept saying I was going to turn it off, but of course, never did. It is 90 min. I believe it available on Netflix, or Hulu.

It is only available on http://video.pbs.org/ and https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/the-making-of-a-lady. The first episode is now available on PBS, and ITV (the same UK station that produces Downton Abbey) has the entire first season online for free streaming.

Is it a series??? Heck, thought it was just a movie????

Why does it say on that IPT site that it will cost 99pence, and then can view it for a whole month???

From what I read it's only a TV movie based on a novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, who also wrote A Little Princess, The Secret Garden and Little Lord Fauntleroy:

Yes, thank you, Jnta. I had read a very short preview and it sounded like a movie. And it was.

I tried to watch it. Stayed with it for a while but finally turned it off.

Too bad, OC......cause it really changed in a dark, suspenseful tale.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie - when I saw it was on I went on line and read about it.
Most reviews stated that it started a little slow then picked up, so I was prepared for that.
Joanna Lumley as Lady Maria cracked me up - I just couldn't see her as anyone other than Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous
