The only thing remotely bothersome to me is I have to turn the sound down a little. Also you could fry up a batch of hush puppies with all that oil on Ben. Yeah he's sweating but there are products that actually look like sweat and not just a blob of oil.

Didn't we have similar scenes when Yo Ling (John's crazy bio father) was brainwashing Paul? Also when Andre was brainwashing Chad?

When I first saw the location, all I could think of, was that they were using the same setup room. They've definitely gone over the top with the torture stuff. If they want to give Robert Scott Wilson (Ben) a chance to show off his amazing physique, I'm sure they could do it some other way.
