I'm guessing it's about dying/near death/whatever.

But seriously, 97% of Salem's residents have done that. Kate, Marlena, Abe on-screen; also Ava, Nicole, Tony, Roman, John, Steve, Rafe, and Chad have either died or been essentially dead. And that's without thinking too hard.

I'm glad they're getting story, but maybe if they remembered to have a scene of her working in the last 61 appearances, this wouldn't be an issue???

She may be dead, but she's still a Salemite, which mandates she be terrible at her job.

Jada is determined to prove to Rafe she is no longer married to Everett/Bobby.
Chad works with Leo at The Spectator when Everett stops in with news about Stefan's arrest.
 
It does seem the scab writers were perhaps told to drag it out.........not wanting them to begin new stories, or end any, so as not to interfere or ruin something or other the striking ones were planning. That had to be hard to do...........and difficult for the viewers to watch.......expecting endings or beginnings, but instead seeing everything at a standstill more or less.
