No, that was the first that Stefano came into the picture after Kristen's arrival in town. Prior to that, Stefano hadn't really been mentioned (in connection to Kristen and Peter). Kristen came to town in May/1993, then Stefano was shown in October/1993.

That's when Kristen told John that Stefano was her father, and that he had adopted her after her mother died, when she was very young, and raised her with the best of everything in life. When she first told John that Stefano was her father, he understandably blew his cork, telling her what a monster her father was, insinuating she was the same. That's when she said yes, Stefano raised her, but he wasn't her biological father, that he adopted her.

The writers make up the "rules" as they go along. It never makes sense as to who does and doesn't have DiMera shares at any given time.

What's ridiculous is that there are shares at all. When Stefano came to Salem it was his wholly owned criminal empire that he alone ran. He had henchmen that did his dirty work, but that was it. Then somehow over the years it turned into DiMera Enterprises with board members and shareholders.
 
LOL, I wonder just why Li has shares.

But, Gabi was married to Stefan DiMera. He died, she got his shares. But, then he was no longer dead so they were still his, evidently. One wonder, too, how an "outsider" became CEO, as the family held majority......and evidently that changed somehow.

The structure of the DiMera holdings seems to change with each headwriter.

Lexie was a bio DiMera, so should have shares. No idea if Abe has them now or Theo. EJ should have shares, Chad, too, probably Johnny as well. I would guess Andre, Benjy, Renee', Megan, Peter Blake, Tony, ...hard to keep track. Kristen & Peter were adopted, the rest were all bio. However, a few are deceased, or at least died and stayed died. LOL. Stefano evidently was a great believer in not using protection of any kind, just doin' what came naturally to him.

Thanks JS for discussing the adoption of Kristen. During her first run, she consistently used (like her brother) the surname "Blake" despite being adopted. One wonders when this changed. To me, it smacks of Procter & Gamble syndrome. That is, the writers are afraid we'll be too stupid to remember who's related to whom unless every member of the family has the same name (e.g., the many miscellaneous Frames (AW), Reardons and 1980s Bauers (GL), and Snyders (ATWT) who populated the P&G soaps) regardless of whether it defies logic, history, or their own writing.

My guess is they brought her on as a brand new character without much thought to her background. Then when they decided to bring back Stefano, they thought, "hey, let's make Kristen the secret daughter of Stefano to really throw John (and the rest of Salem) for a loop." Had they planned for Kristen to be Stefano's daughter from the beginning, you'd think she'd have known about John, about Stefano's obsession with Marlena, his hatred of the Brady family, etc., and steered clear of everybody in town, not run into the bosom of those her father hated most.

Like having Paige turn out to be Shane's granddaughter. In the beginning, she was just a random girl JJ encountered. After being around a while, the writers brought back Eve, then decided to make them mother and daughter. Not to mention the stupid and twisted story of how Eddie Larson was really Eduardo Hernandez, making Paige the little half-sister of Rafe, Arianna Sr., Dario and Gabi.

Or having Melanie turn out to be the daughter of Carly and Dr. Horndog. Or the ridiculous retcon of having Daniel be Maggie's egg baby.

Same with Chad turning out to be yet another one of Stefano's surprise kids.

He sure spread his seed far and wide. There are probably 13 more kids we haven't met yet.
 
Steve and Kayla try to get through to Bo. (He really need to be deprogrammed, they can't do it alone.)

As Jada investigates the tainted biscuits, Chanel is adamant Sloan is the guilty party. (I like the name Tainted Biscuits for a rock group. As for Chanel, she has blinders on, just like Paulina. Yes, Sloan is out for revenge, but there is someone else out to get them, too. They need to stop focusing on Sloan. Until they do, they will be caught off guard.)

Hope is sent on a collision course with Bo. (Perhaps literally, when they both have saddled up large goats for transport.)

Steve and Kayla try to get through to Bo. Good luck with that. Getting through to the old, normal Bo wasn’t always easy. Recall the recent clip of Victor trying to get young Bo to accept him as his father.

Chanel blames Sloan for the tainted biscuits: Sloan seems to be rapidly be taking Ben’s place as the person who’s blamed for everything
