Since that one tweet you posted noted that Greg Vaughan (Eric) was headed back to California to resume Eric's baby drama, it sounds like Nicole still doesn't have the baby returned to her, which is six months from what we're seeing on-screen now.

Oh, am sure Sloan will make sure the test is negative for Nicole being mom. I think Sloan swabs her own cheek or something...definitely messes with it.

I posted in another topic when the writers were gone the storylines went longer than planned.
ReRon had things planned out until around Christmas.

Hopefully, with the writers back, things sort of get back on track.

What we are seeing now is the beginning of the substitute writers' work.......and I believe they will be the ones who have written scripts to around Christmas, or just after. and as Kat noted, based on ReRon's planned out storylines.

Seriously. She brought her own toothbrush? Who would even think to do that if they're comparing their own DNA?

Maybe she really wanted a new one? She forgot she cleaned the sink with it so there was no DNA what so ever on it, just germs.
