You know.......the writers are instructed to stay away from message boards, so that they cannot be sued (NBC/Days) for "stealing" an idea a poster may have had for a storyline. My personal opinion is, the current writers NEED to read message boards, as they sure don't have any good ideas of their own, so welcome to any I express for sure. I have seen many ideas for story expressed, not only here, that would seem more interesting, exciting, emotional, than what we are getting. Then again, it could be they have a good idea, but fail when putting it into actual script story, writing it out for a period of time, editing it in, etc. etc.
