He always was claiming it was the booze. But evidently he beat his wife, his kids, and raped his stepdaughter. I have no idea why he claims he was seeing a shrink (loved how he claimed to Marlena how he drove 2 hrs. there, and 2 hrs. back for those sessions.
Wonder if Marlena could ask for that Doctor's notes or something? Probably not, but doctors DO consult together, don't they?

After all all, ALL of the doctors seem to know every aspect of medicine there is to know,

In Salem, I'm sure the notes from previous shrinks are already on her magic phone/tablet, LOL.
In reality, when starting an outpatient at our clinic we often have them sign a release form to get past records; I imagine Dr Evans would do the same thing (that is if the writers bother to mention it!).
