Why would she be a roberts and a horton? And, if she's keeping the last names of all the men she ever married, don't we need to add Reed (for Austin) and Franco's last name in there too? :)

Allie has a lot of wonderful men in her life she does not need EJ.

They are going to fly until they run out of fuel then they will try to coast crash land, if they went down right now they would probably blow up.

Ugh! EJ is such a hypocrat! Lucas did this too himself?! He made a choice and has to pay for it?!

Yeah he did but then lets look at what EJ has done. If ya don't want to face facts about the rape, fine we'll table it... But what about EJ's atempted murders? John, Lucas, heck he was even going to kill Belle! Ya can't say Lucas wanted to be locked in a freezer! Ya can't say that was 'consenual'.

Those were all EJ's 'choices' and he's not paid for a one of them... and let me add in here that EJ didn't do those things for a reason like protecting his wife and kids. Who the heck is he to rail on Lucas for his mistake. Far as I can tell the only thing Lucas did wrong was get caught!

Sorry... rant over. I really do like the character of EJ and I hope he is redeemed, but he needs to be clued into HIS mistakes and stop pointing out other's. Stones and glass houses buddy-boy.

There has really been something between them lately, I'm not sure how to explain it... it's not the sexual tension that used to be there, but more of a....longing. I can't wait to see this epi.
 
So why is it that EJ cannot be a father to Allie? Everyone here seemed soooo concerned that the twins would be brought up apart, living seperate lives, but when it comes to EJ taking Allie to the zoo no deal. Give me a break. EJ in these past months has been a better father than Lucas could had ever dreamed of being. Lucas nearly killed Will as a baby with his drunk driving madness, and went off trying to kill a man with his infant at home with a sitter. Not to mention sends his children off to be raised by his ex at his convenience accross the globe. Thank god I will not see Lucas's face for the next 3 months.
 
"Everyone" certainly does not think the same way.
It is great you think EJ is a good father. Lucas, in the opinion of many including me, has also been a good father.
EJ is NOT Allie's father, and Sami wants to make it clear to him that he is not. Spending some time with her is one thing. Being her "father" is quite another. Allie's father is not dead.

That is correct, and he landed near Mina, SD and was only a couple of miles away from my father-in-law's house. (Only about 5 hours from where I live). Anyway... :back:
 
yeah but see I have to think the writers are having EJ pull towards Allie for a reason, so I would say DNA on that is still not signed sealed and delivered. Why else play up EJ's closeness to Allie? It doesn't make sense really. He is almost willing to fight Samantha on it - which means he feels a very strong connection or at least is being portrayed that way. I am not one for rehashing history - but let us not forget please - Lucas was no Angel until recently. Talk about rewriting history. The show does it to every character, so while I would like to see ALL characters redeemed and repent for their mistakes it just isn't going to happen due to the way soaps are written.

I say bravo for EJ's turn around. I am personally sick of Lucas on my screen and while I don't wish the actor any ill will, I do want the break from the whole whining triangle thing. In my opinion - Lucas wants Sami not to be herself but to be what he wants her to be. And by the way - they are each other's second choice. He needs to shave that mustache! I just get so tired of each side (yes I am including my own) casting stones at each other. All last year we endured the Lumi love story. It didn't work for a lot of us. Now it's time to move on to something else. Now whether that is EJAMI or not remains to be seen.

I agree with alligato - I am loving new John these days. I hope they keep him snarky for awhile - he is adding an element of dark humor that has been needed and helps me get through some of the terrible dialogue as of late.

No you're right, better for the twins to have EJ as a father figure... you know... the man who raped their mother, tried to murder one of their’s father, and tried to murder their mother's step-father and her sister all in order to scare their mommy into marrying him.

Yeah EJ is far better a male role model for them then Lucas. … and yes I'm being sarcastic, sorry.

I do agree that EJ should be a part of Johnny's life and has been really good with them. And since Allie is Johnny's twin I would not say he should never be around her. But Sami is trying to establish boundaries and she is right to do so.

And as for Lucas' mistakes... yeah he has made them. But let’s look at them closely. He didn’t' send Will off... Will chose to go and Lucas let him because he knew that Will's current home environment was less then healthy for Will. That IMHO is NOT a mistake… that is being a good parent!
Lucas almost got Will killed due to his drinking. Okay I have a massive problem with drunk driving and won't defend it. But anyone who's even remotely aware of alcoholism knows it is a disease. Lucas was sick and got treatment. I don't defend his actions that endangered Will but at least he got help. ... and was EJ drunk when he threated Will's life? Don't think so.
And as for him going off to shoot EJ while is kids were at home. Yep, it was wrong. But it was a desperate move to try and protect his family. And since we’re comparing the two… Lucas’ motives for shooting EJ are far more justifiable then EJ’s motives for his MULTIPLE attempted murders.

The victum wanted it sure sounds like an old rapist line. Let's blame the victum. Let's see, did she say no? The condition was to leave the man you love die by saying no. That is like saying a guy comes to your house and threatens to murder your kids in the next room if you scream or protest and then saying you must have wanted it because you didn't say no. Rape is rape. DOOL really screwed it up bad, but we don't have to make it worst by saying she wanted it. Let's have some respect for what rape is about..it's not sex, it's power. Nothing gentlemenly about rape!!!

You are wrong. I am not a Lumi, but I am a Lucas fan.
It was directed toward the "rapemi" comment...that is the silly high school name thrown out there to do nothing but start crap. If Lumi's like Lucas and Sami, that is great...but stop trying to bash EJ at every chance. Just love your couple. This is so **** old and people act so childish about it. We have gone over this numerous times! Can you take a break! Move. On.

I appreciate EJ taking an interest in Allie...(although if he didn't, people would fuss about him, and when he does, people fuss about it. The boy can't win!)...but if Sami senses something fishy about it, she has a right to tell EJ to back off.
EJ is Johnny's father and should stick to his son until he proves he is a decent father figure. Then Sami can change her mind, if she wants. I wish EJ would back off a bit from Sami and move on with his son.

Lucas is a poor example of a man/father to shoot another man in a fit of jealousy two steps from the mother of his children...not to mention leaving his newborns with a stranger.
EJ is a poor example of a man/father with some of the stuff he has done...but at least EJ recognizes what he was. Lucas is still blaming Sami.
In real life, all three of them would be in prison for something. No sense in arguing who is a better person...all of them are wretched at one point or another. It's a soap. They are supposed to do wretched things.

ITA... I understand the board not wanting to go down the rape discussion again, but I also would like to request we not say things like this that IMO is insulting to real rape victims out there.

It is perfectly fine to have your POV and to want EJami together without resorting to saying "she wanted it." Not to tell you what to say and all but a better arguement is to just say 'hey the show didn't treate it like rape so why should we view it as such.' THAT at least is an honest and valid point.

JMHO of course.
