Nicole is on her sofa, watching a video clip of her and Daniel making out. She is smiling, as she takes big swigs from the bottle of booze she holds to her chest....when her other self, all nicely dressed, begins giving her a hard time. (kudos to Ari Zucker, who play Nicole for these double self scenes). Nicole 2 is berating Nicole 1 for the drinking from the bottle feeling sorry for herself, for acting like this. Nicole 1 is crying, had it all, her big love Daniel, has lost everything, nothing matters, etc. Nicole 2 says this is not what Daniel would want for her, that she buried 2 babies, thought she wanted to die, but came back. If she had not, Daniel would never have fallen in love with her, with a person like she is now. More scolding and pep talk. Nicole 1 says no one needs her.
Theresa is pounding on the door, calling for Nicole to answer, that she needs her, Kate needs her, Basic Black needs her. She pounds and calls, Nicole doesn't answer the door, Theresa leaves. Nicole 2 asks if this is how she is going to handle things. Nicole 1 gets off the sofa, stumbling towards the bedrooms. Nicole 2 tells her to take a cold shower, sober up.
Earlier, Theresa was at the hospital, trying to make arrangements for when Brady gets released. Kate calls her, they have lots of work, knows it is a bad time, but they cannot let it all slip by them now. Get Nicole and get over here. Theresa goes to see Brady, who is having dreams of Nicole, in fact seems to be dreaming the video Nicole 1 was watching. He opens his eyes, Theresa is there, wondering why he is calling Nicole's name. He tells of having these odd dreams. She tells him of Kate's call, wondering if she should call Nicole. Brady says to give Nicky some room. Then asks her to ask Marlena to come see him.
Philip tells Deimos he doesn't really have anything yet, Deimos is not happy. Philip doesn't want to go against his father. Deimos says fine, how about I just tell him what I know about you. Philip says he will work on getting the info on the serum (I knew it!) Deimos wants it by tomorrow. Philip talks of the accident, Brady, Daniel dying. Deimos says that is not his problem. Do it.
Belle comes back in the room as Claire is talking to Daddy, who called her back. She pretends this is something about a math test, hangs up, tells her mom she knows she is going to Vegas with Phil, Belle says it is business, a merger, looking for legal people. She leaves. Claire immediately calls her dad back, tells him he just has to come back to Salem, get on a plane now.
Victor is telling Maggie all about his brother Deimos, the son from his father's second marriage. How, when Deimos was 20, he seduced Victor's fiancee', Helena, 4 days before their wedding. She admitted it to Victor, and fled to see Deimos. Next day, she was found at bottom of a cliff. Maggie asks if helena jumped, he says yes, with some help. Deimos went to jail, life sentence, and Victor went to America, to start a new life.
Belle arrives at K mansion, looking for Philip, who isn't there yet. Vic gives her a hard time about going with Philip to Vegas, and still married. She lets him know Shawn dumped her, Philip is eavesdropping, smiles at that, comes in. Vic wants a private word, tells Phil this is business? Phil mentions some Mr. Wu Chen who will be there, he will be working. Vic reminds him to keep his eye on the prize. Phil says "I am not Brady".
John tells Marlena about getting info on his mother from Eduardo, that he has already talked to her, she is in New Orleans. She is very kind, understanding, tells him to, with her blessings. He thinks she is the absolute best. She gets the call to go see Brady.
She comes into Brady's room, he tells her about his dreams of Nicole, she says it is common in transplant cases, that they will eventually fade away. She suggests perhaps he himself wants to keep Daniel alive. It is a nice little talk. Later, he is asleep, Nicole comes in his room, hesitates, then puts her hand on his chest, feels the heart. He wakes up, she asks how he is doing, he tells her he understands exactly why she came, why she wants to be there. He puts her hand on his heart, then she lays across his chest, she can hear it, hear it beating. He holds her....strokes her head. Theresa walks in, stops, doesn't look happy.
Claire is in the square, reading some music, Shawn arrives, she jumps up, so happy he came. Mom is in Vegas with Philip, she is not herself, hasn't been since you left, you have to help her.
And another miracle, John is already down in New Orleans (my goodness what fast plane service. Maine to Salem, Salem to New Orleans in blink of an eye, lol) The woman says she is so happy to finally see her son again, he wants proof she is really his mother. Tell him something only a mother would know. She mentions a birthmark above his knee, was quite big when he was little, but probably very small now. He says "size of a dime", sits down, wants her to tell him everything.
Ava comes in her room, muttering about Kayla always being a problem. She rummages thru Kayla's purse, finds the letter from the Organ Donor board, uses Kayla's phone to send a message to Steve about being in DC, no cell phones allowed, at the hearing or the offices afterwards. Ava smiles. But Steve arrives, very angry, knows about her using 16 yr. old Joey. She tries to wiggle out, he won't let her, stay away from my family. His hand is on the candlestick she used to conk Kayla. Flashback. She asks about "their son". He doesn't know because he cannot believe a single word from her lying mouth. She gets a large envelope, contains all the info she could gather on the sale of their son.
Victor sits and remembers a conversation between him & Helena. He is yelling about her having this affair with Deimos, of all people. She is saying No, No, Victor, No. Please.
Philip opens the door to their room in Vegas, asking Belle if it o.k. She says it is perfect. He looks at his watch, has time before meeting with Mr. Wu...what does she want to do, pool, bar, gamble.......she grabs his tie, pulls him in to her for a big kiss, they fall on the bed.
