5/19/16 - Donuts, Sunshine, and Work

Surprise, surprise, today when TR came and got his stuff, the escorting officer said there is an order in effect so looks like I just misunderstood the judge when I was sure I heard him rule against Me.
Does not mean he should not be less biased.
He just made do so many snide comments, plus I actually thought I heard him say the word dismissed.

TR wanted the attending officer to tell Me about going to get ithe order removed. I listened, smiled & knodded and said I would Monday but I will not of course.
I was just avoiding drama.

So that is the end of that folks.

Good night.

NIKKIFAN: I am so sorry you are in relentless pain. Hoping your medicatons help you manage the pain. Thinking of you.

IAMRED: I can relate because dusting in Phoenix can be done 2-3 times a day. Our nightly dust storms make keeping the outside/inside of the home dust free impossible. I always shower afterwards.

YPG: what a relief the judge followed through on the order. Smart move to handle TR's request. Atta girl!

Good night all. It's been a long hot day and I'm dreaming of a bath before bed.

Poirot, I will share an embarrassing story. My mom often baked pies, and we three brothers used to complain (good-naturedly) about how she cut it. Wise-guy me spotted some kind of pie-cutter pan that divided the pie into 6 perfect pieces, and brought one home. I think mom used it once. After a while, I asked her about it, and she told me that she had been cutting the pies in a way that would save a piece for my dad's work lunch. I felt about 2" tall, and never mentioned it again. :( :( :(

And speaking of slices, I read somewhere that a layer cake triangular piece is supposed to flipped to the right when put on a plate. This is an awkward move for a right-handed person to make, and family cooks usually ignore my brother's and my remarks. :drunk: Have any of you heard of this? PS: My apologies if I am repeating the cake story!

YPG, good for you re order!

I hadn't heard your pie cutter story, A. Guy. Funny how we carry some memories like that with us forever. It probably left more of an impression on you than it did your mother.

Kt, cute clip of Remmy. I was thinking she was going to get bitten or pinched or something. Your crawdads look bigger than the ones around here.

Kt, I don't think anybody eats what we have around here. Maybe that's why I've heard them called crawdads. I think mud bugs fits them better though. The ones I've seen are small and live in mud puddles. My son used to catch them. Once he let a bunch of them loose inside the house. I found dried up remains for a long time.

Manda, does what you are calling "mustard" grow up spindly and have yellow flowers? A lot of that grows in the wheat fields here and I've heard it called mustard.

Another day of changed plans here. I never made it to the store.

Guy, you can "suck the head and eat the tail", or just do as DaysD and eat the tail meat. There's nothing but the juice used to boil the crawfish in the head, lol. Some people, like me, love the flavor.

In a similar vein, tried a few crab claws the other day;

I prefer fried crab claws. There is no shell to peel, just pull the meat off the cartilage with your teeth, lol. Don't just bite it off. You don't want the inedible part!

I think Sparky has his own accent and vocabulary, the way he puts things together, lol. To you it might sound like an accent, like a bird speaking in Spanish or something. He is trying a new word or phrase now and I can't figure out where it came from or what he means, lol.
