Are there often cliffhangers? Yes.
Does the storyline move fast? Usually not.
Do we want to really see these stories? Are we just waiting on the edge of our seats for the Winter Olympics to end? For the most part, we aren't.

If the existing canned episodes all mysteriously vanished and we jumped ahead to what they're filming this week, I don't think anyone would mind.

After looking at the current stories that are going on right now, there is nothing that I am looking forward to watching when the show comes back after the Olympics. I prefer this board and the snark about the stories much more than watching any current story on Days.

Please note: I in no way mean to imply that anything they're filming now might be good, watchable, or even palatable. But at least they might be able to change direction a bit more quickly when something is tanking.

I was gone on RV trip so missed a lot but when I got back I watched Jan31-Feb3 on peacock. Have they explained why Sarah was happy to see Kristen. What does she think Kristen is protecting her from?

Sarah has probably been drugged/brainwashed. Maybe she thinks Kristen is her sister, close friend, rescuer, but probably the person who is keeping her hidden and safe from danger of some kind. We can guess a lot of different scenarios, but am sure it will be something dumb. LOL
