Gabi has decided to let Stefan's heart be used to save Julie, has called Lani in to tell her, but it is on one condition. She knows Lani loves Eli, would do anything to make him happy, and saving his grandmother would definitely make him happy. So, the condition is that Lani beg, and Gabi means really beg, grovel. Lani tries but Gabi not satisfied, she demands Lani get down on her knees, acknowledge that Gabi is calling the shots, and B-E-G! Lani is very quiet, but does so. She is down on her knees, with an impassioned plea, and Gabi says she thought Lani was a bit over the top, but o.k., go tell the family Julie can have Stefan's heart.

Rolf is talking to himself as he holds the rosary Hope was using, mentioning his special patient. Kayla comes in......what special patient? Rolf says she should not eavesdrop on evil scientists, she persists, he claims Kristen is the patient, Kayla tells him he can no longer use the lab. He is astounded to learn Jack's memory returned without Rolf's help, wants to do all kinds of tests, blah, blah. Nope, pack your stuff up, you have 30 minutes, or I will call security. She sees the rosary, recognizes it as Julie's, says Hope went home to get it for her. Rolf claims he found it on the floor somewhere, was going to take it to lost and found. Kayla takes it, leaves.

At the Kmansion, Xander comes into living room, shirtless of course, trying to talk Sarah out of leaving town. She intends to go, nothing will stop her. He has slipped on a shirt, tries to reason with her, suddenly kisses her, she seems to be kissing back......but then denies anything going on between them. Xander disagrees with that, but she is determined, is going to the hospital.

Eli comes into chapel, finding Hope asleep in a pew. (ah, so Rolf managed to get the unconscious Hope to the chapel unseen......in a hospital! Amazing!) She wakes up, seems a bit bewildered, remembers being there to pray for Julie, could swear something happened. She keeps rubbing her arm, Eli sits and talks with her.

Jen & Jack come into Julie's room, talk to Doug, who tells them how everyone has talked to Gabi, no go. Even he went, telling them what he said to her. (gosh, he breaks your heart). Jen is sympathetic, but does get on a minor rant, Jack stops her. She hugs Doug. Suddenly the alarms go off for Julie, Jen runs out for a doctor, Eli & Hope leave the chapel. Time to say goodbye to Julie. With everyone there, Lani comes rushing up, Gabi has agreed, smiles all around. Kayla gets going on getting the surgical team together, Sarah comes rushing in, Kayla orders her to get into scrubs, they are doing a transplant. She rushes off.

Gabi is laying on the bed with Stefan, is so sorry, Sarah comes in with papers for her to sign, she does, waves Sarah off. Eli thanks Lani who won't tell him what she said to Gabi to get her to change her mind. Hope sits with Jen, feeling strange but not wanting to tell Jen why, as she doesn't really know.

Rolf walked in on Xander, came to see Kristen, seems to really know everything, it seems. Knows Xander unable to change Sarah's mind about leaving town, so says that the person to get her to stay would be the baby's father, who so far doesn't know, but if he did............Later, Xander comes downstairs, has the pregnancy test results, wants to get them to Eric, but cannot have it be him who spilled the beans.

Gabi is with Stefan, flashing back to several instances of them passionately making out, and him putting a ring on her finger. Sarah comes in, telling Gabi the orderlies are on the way. She holds Stefan, begins to cry.

Kayla brings Hope the rosary, telling her Rolf found it on the floor somewhere. Hope takes it, pondering look on her face.

Doug is telling Julie it is all going to be fine, she is getting the heart, she will be o.k.., just hang in there.

Rolf comes downstairs, has checked Kristen, all is well. Xander wants him to do something, deliver this, handing over an envelope with Eric's name on it.

Gabi was really on a rant with Lani........told her that first she took JJ, then Eli, from her and now took Stefan! I give Camilla Banus (Gabi) a lot of credit, as they film so fast, usually one take, and she sure has had a ton of dialogue to spout.
And look at Doug, the actor is 90, and did all the lines, expressed all the emotions......Just Wonderful!
Hate that Sarah has to be in every story, no matter what.
And then there is Rolf......who is o.k. in small doses, but he is now going overboard on the Dr. Frankenstein persona. Don't know how he knows all, sees all, and has "solutions" for anything constantly.

I kind of get Gabi in these scenes. Lani slept with her last two boyfriends and then killed her husband. Yes, Gabi's not a nice person now, but I get that too. Yesterday drove me crazy. Does she have anyone who is there just for her after all she's been through? It's pretty terrible.

Thanks for the summary. Yeah,I also thought she would want Eli and Lani to break up. And, I so agree about Dr. Frankenstein. A little goes a very long way and he has already overstayed his usefulness to me. It really creeps me out that he has been Kristen's dr.

When Gabi goes back to DiMansion, will she be alone or will Kate have moved in? I would like Rafe and David to move in (once Jordan gets checked back in to Bayview, or wherever Vic decides to send her).

Xander comes into living room, shirtless of course
As clueless as the writers are most of the time, they know what fans want to see.
She holds Stefan, begins to cry.
Gabi's doing a fine job here. But this story is dreadful and unbelievable on a show where half the cast (literally) was dead at one point or another.
told her that first she took JJ, then Eli, from her and now took Stefan
I was hoping for my pun or its like to be in there, but c'est la vie.
I was really hoping that the condition would be Lani admit guilt and resign the force or something.

Where is Rafe, by the way? He's never there for Gabi these days. He cares more about Ciara. It's weird.
He did pop-in yesterday, although he had apparently talked to her before that as well.

WAIT!!!! They still have done NO testing to see whether or not this heart is a match! They are just wheeling her in to do the transplant, with no planning? And Sarah just happens to drop in in time to be on the team of specialists?? Seriously, this is just so so bad!

And Julie should have been on some serious anti-rejection drugs, etc. etc. and we all could have written these scripts better.

I guess we have to pretend they did testing to see if he was a viable match and we just didn't see it.

For all we know, there was a scene with Kayla saying she ran tests and he was a match, but it ended up on the cutting room floor.

I saw Rafe in with Gabi yesterday, but he seemed more concerned about Julie than his own sister. For a while, the Hernandez family was a close one. Now that it's down to just Gabi and Rafe, it's almost like they aren't related half the time.

And today, as she's pulling the plug on her husband, he should be there. Half the town is at the hospital for Julie.

Rafe WAS there, he talked to Gabi, she made him leave. He learned a bit later that Eli went to talk to her, & he said that was not a good idea in her present state. For all we know, he IS there, but he also is on duty. Since 2 of the police force are there in the hospital, someone should be holding down the fort.

I love Xander's snark. When he said "oh my little girlfriend is back" while pretending to be Eric was a hoot. But no Xander, Eric didn't break up Sarah's marriage all by himself. While it was very wrong of Eric, again, and disgusting, Sarah was the one who was married. I'm very tired of Sarah not getting the blame for anything.

I'm pretty sure it will come. And I should hate Gabi, but I don't. I get where she's coming from. Sorry.

I blame Kayla as much as I blame Gabi for whatever happens next (regarding Lani or the Hortons). She should have broached this sensitive subject with the clearly unhinged Gabi rather than go tell her friends the Horton Clan first. Does anyone at Salem Hospital understand professional ethics?

Thanks, Poirot.

Interesting to learn, Dr Rolf lost his lab. Where will he go next? More important
what set will go there? :)

I was wondering today if Stefan's heart was a match for Julie's. Maybe that was
done when we weren't looking.

It was funny when Sarah was ranting about Kristen being the Queen of the house.

Today Sarah's picture was on the fireplace so Xander could hold it.

Xander is taking a risk letting Eric know Sarah is pregnant. What if Eric dumps
Nicole to be with Sarah? What will happen if Sarah finds out Xander did it?

So I wonder what is up with Hope? Thank goodness she does not appear to be Princess Gina. But what did he do then?

I thought Gabi would tell Lani to quit her job.

Sarah was definitely kissing Xander!! This baby just has to be his!!

I wonder how Julie will react when she is told she has Stefan Dimera's heart? I am sad he is gone. I really thought they would explore his pre Stefan life as Sam Maitland.

Not according to my daughter. she gripes every time she sees a medical scene.

I have to agree with Gabi about one thing. She was right when she said everyone was trying to pressure her. I understand they were feeling the urgency of time so I know why they were doing it but I wanted to smack them myself when they insisted they weren't pressuring her. Especially Will and Eli.

So heart transplants can be done by any doctor who happens to be on hand? I didn't know Kayla was a heart surgeon, and then, "Oh good, Sarah's here. She can help." It's almost comical. But then when you consider what Dr. Daniel did with Jennifer's heart, I guess this isn't so extraordinary.

Thanks for the summary. I won't watch before tomorrow.
