Sorry folks - the show cut out here for 9 minutes (from :39 to :48), so I missed a few scenes. Would appreciate "filling in" the blanks for those who can. [Caught it on youtube and filled in the blanks! Thanks DaysD!!]

Daniel, Serena, and Silent Bob Parker are eating at the Club and talking about how well Parker likes the elephant (which was from Eric's collection). Serena says she knows the elephant, Parker has good taste. She draws a picture of it which he positively IDs, she says it brings good luck. Eric arrives, he's not interrupting, and Serena is glad he's here. They kiss. They talk about the elephant some more. Daniel and Parker are going to leave, say goodbye to Serena & Eric. Serena explains she's been moody, but not because of them, she's very happy with him. She has to head to the hospital, but they make plans to meet up later. Depart.

Nicole is walking through the bushy clearing, talking to herself, about how Jeannie T screwed over Brady and Daniel, and how even she couldn't be stupid enough to tangle with Melanie. She reasons that Daniel will be furious when Daniel finds out about Jeannie T targeting Melanie, then has a fantasy where she reveals this to him and he's appreciative, decides to call him. She stops though, deciding she needs Melanie on her side before going to Daniel...now how can she muzzle "that rabid dog Theresa"? She gets an idea, goes to make a call. Later, she's at Eric's apartment, immediately says she's not there to talk about Serena, but about his "crazy cousin Theresa" who is out of control. Nicole declares that Jeannie needs an intervention, thinks it might be better coming from Eric, whom Theresa won't see as an enemy. Why is she doing this, Eric wonders; he posits it's because she has a big heart. Outside, Nicole breathes deeply, telling herself to focus on Daniel.

At the hospital, Jeannie T confronts Melanie about Mandrake. Jeannie T's getting angry, loud, when Brady runs over to break it up. Jeannie T reports that Melanie's been spying on her, is really on a tear, Abby comes over to ask them to keep it quiet, Jeannie tells her to shut up, tries to get Melanie to admit to spying on her. She gets violent, Brady pulls her away; Abby and Melanie talk about how crazy, etc., Jeannie T is, though Melanie admits this time there's a reason. Brady pulls her to a waiting room area, Jeannie T is ranting that she's kept away from Melanie, but Melanie's been investigating her. She relays how Melanie was looking into Mandrake, a fertility specialist. Brady is clueless, Jeannie T admits she doesn't know what this all means, but Brady better tell Melanie to keep off her back. At the nurses station, Melanie vows to keep away from Jeannie T, wonders what she's telling Brady now. Abby knows it will be a lie, is sure Brady is on to Jeannie T. Brady takes Melanie out, Abby and Jeannie exchange dirty looks.

Eve and Paige are talking about the Jen/JJ confrontation in the square, she flashes back to Jen finding them; Jen isn't just mad at JJ, but at her, too. Eve says that Paige needs to stay away from JJ...and Jen; Paige is upset because Jen's never been anything but nice to her, Eve goes on about the royalties, how Jen cornered her at the hospital, etc. (Some truth, some fib, including how Jen had her keys.) Eve's not sure how much more she can take, they have to leave Salem. Paige thinks she's overreacting, but agrees perhaps should leave town...but she won't go with her. Eve tries to get Paige to transfer to Stanford, rehashes how she'll run into JJ, Jennifer, etc. Paige thinks none of this has to do with her, Jennifer will be fine when Eve leaves. Eve keeps pushing about how crazy Jen is;Paige finally leaves.

At the Horton House, JJ is telling Jen he only wanted for Paige to be happy, but he's lost that chance. Jen doesn't think so. She brings in some tea, tells him that she's hurt, angry, but nothing changes that he's her son and that she loves him. Jen declares that JJ was victimised by the "predator" Eve because he's Jen's son, and Jen wasn't paying attention. She should have been stronger when JJ was dealing with the Jack/Kayla situation. JJ tells Jen it wasn't her fault, but Jen declares they're in this together. She could never hate him, not her "miracle child," she assures him. They hug, but she needs to know one more thing about Eve. There's no more to tell, JJ asserts; they talk about how it would hurt Paige to learn the truth, but neither of them will tell her. JJ doesn't want Paige to hate him even more, and he'll never love anyone else. Jen knows about loss; JJ feels the situation isn't comparable but he lost Paige on his own fault. She talks about losing Daniel, how much it hurt; JJ is sure he'll never be happy again, nor does he deserve it. Jen tells him to stop talking like that, nothing is more important to a mother...she trails off, and tells JJ to listen to her carefully. Jen changes the subject, has to work what she's about to say out in her head, is going to go for a walk; if he wants to tell Abby, he can, but maybe wait a little while. They will figure this out; hug.

Second Half
Jen calls Eve and tells her to stay put. A few moments later, Jen slams her bag on Eve's table, Eve says Paige could be back at any moment, Jennifer tells her she better shut up and listen then. Jen declares that she is the only hope Eve has for Paige ever to speak to her again. She orders her to stay away from JJ. Eve sits, hears her out. Eve's secret weapon has always been that she could never be hurt, but she loves Paige, and doesn't want to lose her. Now, Jen has her "on her knees" and at her mercy. (Several metaphors of this nature.) Eve begs her not to tell Paige. Whether Jen spills the beans or not is up to Eve. Eve destroyed JJ's compass, Paige still loves JJ; Eve tries to leave, Jen orders her to sit down, calls Eve trash, orders her not to tell Jeannie, wants it to stay between the 3 of them. What does Jen want? Jen wants to give JJ/Paige a chance to be together again.

At Daniel's, Parker continues to play with the elephant. Nicole shows up, asks for a quick minute, needs to ask him for a favour, for him not to be so much like himself, "What Would Nicole Do?"

Serena calls Melanie trying to arrange a meeting at Melanie's place; Melanie (at the Kmansion) will have to call her back, Brady comes in behind her looking furrowed. Later, she is frantic, looking for the elephant. Navidad enters with it, asking if she's "Looking for this?" Navidad is upset that Melanie doesn't have the right elephant, "he" will be here soon.

At the hospital, Jeannie has attempted to call Mandrake, wonders why Clint would have been calling a fertility doctor. Drugs, she thinks, but still can't figure out Melanie's connection; maybe, at least, she got her in trouble with Brady. Later, she goes to Eric's apartment, wondering if Melanie ratted her out. Not Melanie, Nicole, he explains.

At the Kmansion, Brady asks if what Jeannie T said was true. Melanie admits she's been asking questions, had heard Mandrake checking in on Jeannie, found out she was a fertility doctor. They argue about how he told her to stay away, she sarcastically jokes that she got out of line, storms out.

JJ is playing his guitar when Abigail comes home and, seeing that he looks miserable, asks what's wrong. Abby is confused, she thought the Roxanne thing was a ploy, now JJ's saying it's over. She has to go back to work, he'll explain later.

Eric tells Jeannie T that although Nicole & him are over, and Nicole came to him because she's concerned about Theresa. Melanie could get her fired, bla bla. Jeannie T weeps a bit, Eric professes to be on her side, gives her tough love, tells her to grow up.

CLOSER
Jen tells Eve that they are the only 3 who know about JJ/Eve, they can keep it that way. JJ can get another girl, but Eve can't get another daughter. Eve says she will give blessing to JJ/Paige over her dead body, Jen says whatever; Paige arrives.

I missed everything from Jen saying "you had a clear advantage" to Eve asking "what exactly do you want here" so I apologise if the above doesn't make sense. My own fault for not backing up by having it on our NBC channel and watching from the DVR. (Which has been a bit squirrelly lately.)

Jennifer was all over the map for me today. I'd find myself rooting for her, then wanting her to tone it down, then to die. And back again.

Eve is a pathetic shell of a character. She'd need to grow to get another dimension. Such a shame for one of my favourite characters. Also not loving the writing for Nicole today, and entirely too much of Daniel/Eric for my tastes.

The writers really haven't set up a great love story for me to believe JJ thinks he'll never love again. Is this kid 18, or has he been SORAS'd to 41? Yeesh!!

Why doesn't Eve have Jen's number blocked?

I know we're supposed to hate Jeannie T, but I like her because she hates the toddler and the drunk.

Abigail has been completely useless these past few months. Another character whom I used to root for who has been wasted/destroyed. :(

I'm not even sure I should care who "he" is unless it's Bill Horton, or Ernesto Toscano. Let's just move this elephant thing along, please!!

Boy, didn't miss much there!! LOL - lots of Jen name-calling, repetitive dialogue, and a whole lotta Nothin' with Nicole & Daniel!!

Really loved Jen/JJ's scenes, but HATED everything with Jennifer after that.

I'm really bugged about Eve. Considering that this is a regression of her character, and how little she's interacted with Jeannie T and her step-Bradys, why did they not just create a character "Carlotta Drake" or something and have her be an old school rival of Jen's? Now we've trashed a formerly loved character. (Remember how happy many fans were upon the announcement of her hiring?) Really bothers me because like Carly and Kristen, Eve was a favourite of mine.

What's next, writers? Resurrecting Isabella, having her punch out Caroline, and then sleep with Dr Jonas?:sick::sick::sick:

For me Days this week has been filled with some great scenes, a nice build up to Eve and JJ and always love Nicole.

Serena, move it along already.

JJ and Abigail, love their sibling relationship.

Nicole, please just move on from these two chauvinistic, judgemental holier than thou.........uhmmmmmm. ......men?

Eve is unbelievable. Bells and red flags should have been going through the roof for Paige when Eve suggested yet again, they move. Paine should have asked what her mom has done now. I think Jennifer should just spill it to Paige and let everyone deal with the fall out now.

Here's the full episode--my area had a few minutes broken into because of blizzard reports on the news (I can't stand those talking heads).
Thanks for this. Days in our area was completely preempted by news reports about the accident at La Guardia Airport and the snowstorm.
As for today's episode, If Eve's looks could kill, Jenny would be among the deceased. Fortunately, for Ms. Priss, Eve now appears to be totally powerless, and continues to sink into the Salem sewers with her pathetic lies aimed at getting her daughter to leave town. That said, Jen Jen ought to rethink her plan to reunite Paige and JJ. Does she really want her son to have Eve as a mother-in-law? Imagine the dirty looks they'd be giving each other across the Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner tables over the years. Elsewhere, Serena gets a mention for her comment: "I feel like such a rat." Yes, Serena you are a rat. How does it feel to have your elephant quest stymied by a train-loving little kid who rarely talks? Finally, Nicole really, really needs to take a break from Dr. McScruffy and the Salem sourpuss and find some guy who's worthy of her.

There was a very quick and brief mention on the NY NBC station that they would carry Days on COZI (whatever that is) so lthey could continue coverage of the plane skidding off the runway. Amazing how much time they could devote to that story, but then that station would break in to spend an hour covering the fact that the mayor sneezed. (sorry, just seems they go overboard, but then, I don't live there, lol)

That said, I thought the scenes between JJ & Jen were wonderful, and then....oh, boy, I LOVED Jen laying into Eve. Talk about taking charge. And it was sooo well deserved. Eve lied over and over to Paige about Jen....even saying Jennifer stole her keys!!! Claiming that Jen was trying to withhold those royalties, and just piling it on.
While Jen has annoyed me no end for months and months, I was on her side, today, for sure.
And then, the entire country is freezing, getting blizzards, snow, ice, freezing rain, no matter where you live, but those Salemites just run around in their lite clothes, short skirts, not even an ear muff. LOL. Heck, Nicole at least had a coat, even if the sleeves only came 2/3 way down her arms. LOL
And yes, the rest of the show, (Jeannie T, Melanie, Abby, Serena, Eric, Nicole, Dan, and silent Parker.....just filler. Not even finally seeing Navidad in Serena's hotel room (how did she get in?) made any sort of movement in that charade of a story.
By the way, only because I thought some of those scenes today were so fantastic, checked who wrote it. Richard Culliton.

Thank you, Jason, good job. The show was pre-empted for my station, but I wasn't home anyway. Yep, had to venture out in that frigid weather today.

I automatically change right to COZI everytime now and caught the whole show! I watch the NY affiliate here and saw the news of the plane. I also like to watch Charlie's Angel's after!

I am not on board Jennifer trying to force JJ and Paige back together. Like DrBakerFan noted, one thing I thought is why would she want JJ to have Eve as a mother in law? LOL I am kind of over the whole backstory, too - that Eve and Jennifer have been rivals forever and she is there only to destroy her.

Nicole, Nicole - stop it with these guys!

Oh, I agree about not wanting JJ & Paige back together. And definitely not after he had sex with her mother. I just really liked Jen finally being able to be able to have something to rant at Eve about. Eve lying to her daughter, just so she could escape having to ever face Jen or JJ just galled me.

But let's see now. Kate has had sex with Stefano AND his son, EJ
Eve was married to Jack, had sex with his son
Trying to remember if Nicole ever had sex with Philip...as she definitely did so with Victor. If I am not mistaken.......she has had sex with Roman......and his son, Eric. LOL
Abby had sex with both the DiMera brothers.
But, this is a new one........sex with the mother of your girlfriend.
But then, in Salem, everyone sleeps around, don't they? A lot!

The show was on COZI TV in the NY area today. As soon as I heard about the plane skidding, I knew it wouldn't be on NBC.

Today was good but not as good as yesterday. Great scenes again with Jen, JJ and Eve. I don't really care for Paige and JJ but I also think they will get back together and then Eve will find out she is pregnant. MY SPECULATION ONLY. If that is the case, I want Paige to either leave town permanently never to be heard from again or be killed off.

I've been saying this since they brought Eve back. It would have been much better had they brought her on as a new character. She could have been Jen's former rival and also affiliated with Clyde. They could have saved the Eve role for when Charlotte Ross became available again.

I pretty much FF all of Nicole's scenes now except the ones with Eric. I will not watch her lose her own self respect over Dr. McScruffy.

Heather we've been on the same wavelength for that since Day 2, methinks!!

...JJ and Abigail, love their sibling relationship.

Nicole, please just move on from these two chauvinistic, judgemental holier than thou.........uhmmmmmm. ......men?...
JJ's family relationships are wonderful. Although I hate people referring to them as "The Hortons." And AMEN on Nicole!!

...Does she really want her son to have Eve as a mother-in-law? Imagine the dirty looks they'd be giving each other across the Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner tables over the years. ...
LOL! But, only on TV do BOTH families ever get together. Heck, my hubby's an only child with a middle-aged mother and we STILL had to do two Thanksgivings!! (I don't think JJ/Paige will last BUT I am having fun imagining food fights between the "adults" while the "kids" act embarrassed!!!)

... Not even finally seeing Navidad in Serena's hotel room (how did she get in?) made any sort of movement in that charade of a story....
My guess is Derrick...Navidad had "him" give Derrick googly eyes, he melted and let her in, LOLOL.

...But, this is a new one........sex with the mother of your girlfriend....
Julie/Doug/Addie, and Laura/Jack/Jennifer

Edited to add: As to the Jennifer/Eve plot, I'm sure this will never blow up in her face, but maybe it'll get rid of Paige for good.

I am NOT a fan of Jennifer or Eve but I found myself cheering on Jen since walking in on JJ and Eve twisting in the sheets. The scenes between JJ and Jen were beautifully written for a change, and the way she is sticking it to sleazy Eve is fantastic.

I read a post some time ago that said Paige is leaving Days? Is this fact and if so when?
