EJ and Sami are making out in her apartment. It moves to the couch, pretty hot and heavy. She’s down to her bra, trying to take EJ’s clothes off and he abruptly stops saying “sorry, I can’t do this.” She is shocked wondering why he stopped. He says she’s going through a lot right now with Will and Rafe and she’s vulnerable so he doesn’t want to take advantage of her. What a gentleman. He tells her she knows how he feels about her but the time needs to be right. They start getting dressed again. She goes to tell him something and then there’s a knock at the door. It’s Lucas. He’s there to discuss Will. EJ leaves. He notices what was going on between her and EJ before he arrived and points out her blouse is buttoned wrong. He says it didn’t take them long did it. She says she doesn’t have to answer to him. He remarks how she was all over Rafe at the wedding and now here she is doing the meringue with EJ. He figures this is all due to the inconvenient truth of Will be the father of Gabi’s baby. Now it’s out with Rafe and in with EJ. She’s rolling her eyes a lot in these scenes. She doesn’t owe him an explanation. She starts singing EJ’s praises about how wonderful he’s been with Will, unlike Rafe. He says he heard she had some choice words for Gabi. Nothing that wasn’t true, she says. Gabi lied to her. So did their son, he says. She defends Will saying he was probably forced into it by Nick and Gabi. More back and forth. He says he’s not there to fight with her or judge her about her personal life, he doesn’t care who she’s sleeping with, but does make a crack about her being with EJ on Thursday and by the weekend she’ll be back to Rafe. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Lucas calls her out for alienating Rafe and Gabi…the mother of their future grandchild…huge mistake. She seems to consider but then blabs about something or other. She changes the subject to their grandchild. They toast to that and joke about it a bit. She asks if he’s talked to Will. He says he did right after the news broke. She says Will wouldn’t open up to her too much and he thinks she’s making it all about her. Lucas can see that. He tries to tell her that she needs to stop blaming Rafe and Gabi and deal with the hand they’ve been dealt. He says it’s time to be the adults. He says they need to be a united front for Will and she needs to not alienate Rafe and Gabi anymore. She agrees. She wonders about Sonny. Will loves him so much. Lucas tells her sometime’s love just isn’t enough. Gives Sami something to think about as Lucas heads out the door.
Adrienne is filling Justin in on her earlier run in with Sami. He thinks maybe they should show a little compassion to Will and his predicament. She gets a little agitated at this but Lucas walks up overhearing what Justin said and tells him he appreciates that. Adrienne gets defensive saying she already got a lecture from Sami and doesn’t want one from Lucas too. Lucas comes to Will’s defense saying he knows he made a mistake. Adrienne wonders if Will is going to try and get back with Sonny. Lucas doesn’t know and says it’s none of their business. Justin agrees. Lucas takes off. Adrienne gets upset at Justin for taking Lucas’s side. He says the situation is not black and white and remembers his conversation with Nick earlier. She wants to know what he’s talking about. He tells her that they need to support Sonny and whatever decision he makes. Adrienne thinks Will is really messed up right now and she doesn’t want Sonny in the middle of it.
At the Coffee House, Abigail wants to talk to Chad. He thinks she’s there to tell him she hates him. No, she hates what he did. She doesn’t understand how the guy he was on New Years is the same guy who trashed Gabi’s wedding. He admits had he known the full truth he wouldn’t have done what he did but now he’s stuck paying the consequences of what he did.
Rafe walks in and asks Sonny if he knows where Will is. Sonny tells him they’re not together anymore. Rafe says they were so happy together, he’s sorry to hear they broke up. Sonny tells him that Abigail may know where Will is. Rafe walks over and interrupts Chad and Abby. Chad takes a hint and walks away. Rafe asks her if she knows where Will is. He wants to speak to him about the baby situation. She’s evasive about telling him. He starts to leave and she tells him that Will is with Gabi at the hospital for her sonogram. He smiles and thanks her and leaves.
At the Hospital, Gabi and Nick are looking at the sonogram. Cameron asks if they want to know the sex of the baby. They do. He tells them to say hello to their daughter. Will walks in saying “it’s a girl?” He sees the baby move on the sonogram and looks on in awe. Cameron asks Gabi if she wants Will there. Will says he has every right to be there, he’s the father. Cameron says it’s Gabi’s appointment, it’s her call. Will again says he’s the father. Suddenly, Nick chimes in saying Will is right, he should be here. Will and Gabi look a little surprised. He even offers to leave the room. He tells Will they should have told him about this and had no right keeping it from him. He leaves. Gabi has a look on her face like “what just happened?” Will and Gabi continue to watch the baby on the screen. She grabs Will’s hand and puts it on her stomach to let him feel the baby move. Outside the room Nick is watching and says “I’ll make this right.” Cameron steps out and tells Nick he can go back in now. Gabi and Will are still feeling the baby move. She grabs Nick’s hand to feel too but she stops kicking right at that moment. LOL. She tells him he could have stayed. She says the baby is perfectly healthy. Will tells them that he now knows after seeing his daughter on the sonogram that he wants to be a father to her. The whole plan was stupid and everything is changed now. He offers an olive branch to Nick saying they can all work together for the sake of the baby. He asks Gabi to let him know from now on about future appointments. She promises she will. Will is excited, big grin on his face, he leaves. She thanks Nick for his support and being open to this. The baby starts kicking again. Later, they’re still at the hospital. Nick says it’s been a rough few days but everything will be better now. He announces they’re getting married tomorrow. She hugs him and says “I love you.” He replies the same but has a look on his face like he’s plotting something.
EJ and Chad walk in the park. Chad notices EJ has a little pep in his step. EJ says things are going smoothly. Chad mentions what he did at the wedding. EJ smiles and says how perfectly that worked out for him because it has driven a wedge between Samantha and Rafe. He asks Chad how things are going. Chad says his life is pretty much a full blown disaster. EJ asks about Abigail. Chad says she can’t stand the sight of him. EJ says give her time. He starts doling out relationship advice, saying things aren’t always as bad as they seem and can work out to your favor.
