Honestly, how do Haley and Tripp not notice the barbs on Claire's comments, and her tone of voice, etc.? Just one throwaway comment or conversation about how unhappy Claire is (or even JJ spilling that Claire is upset to Tripp or Haley would add something to all of this).
I have to agree that Tripp is way excited about this wedding - perhaps he has subconsciously realized that marrying Haley (who he is attracted to, it seems) is his way of escaping from Claire without having to actually face up to breaking up with her (which makes him a bit of a cad, but honestly wouldn't *you* want to avoid that hot mess of a crazy meltdown too?). Additionally, I think Tripp knows more than he's letting on (where *did* that recording go, after all)
