just a surprise about lead actor. I don't think Thaao Penghlis (Tony/Andre) was ever on contract, and really, do not even remember big story for Tony in 2019 Guess it was better evidently than whatever any other actors submitted.

Still debating whether to watch or not. I don't like award shows when the speeches veer off to subjects other than their work and thank yous.

They have dozens of other options to spout off about their political views, yet they always seem to blather on about those matters when they win awards. Just thank your significant other, your kids, your parents, your management team/cast/crew, and whatever higher power you pray to and call it good.
