Departing...arriving part 13

Warden Jane, the body parts racketeer, as a judge? Who makes these casting decisions? Of course, some of the Salem judges in recent years, notably Damon Thorpe and Rose Duncan, make the bought-and-paid-for DiMera judge, Karen Fitzpatrick, look like a giant of jurisprudence.
 
Roark Critchlow was the last actor to play Mike Horton. He started playing Mike in 1994 until 1999, when Mike and Carrie Brady left town together. They broke up off-screen. He returned, very briefly in 2010, for Alice's funeral. He actually didn't make it to the funeral. The actor couldn't make it to tape the funeral scenes, so they had Mike in a hospital bed, saying he had a car accident on the way back to Salem, and they had him on the phone with various Hortons explaining why he couldn't make it home after all for Gran's funeral.
 
He played Mike Horton, a doctor, of course. He was one of 16 recasts playing the character, lol. Michael T. Weiss is the one many folks prefer. Mike was in a storyline where he was dating a Jewish gal.......eventually marrying her, they had a son Jeremy. We saw Jeremy as a kid, then some years later as an adult, played by Trevor Donovan. That was only for a few months in 2007.

Mike is the son of Bill & Laura Horton.......Yes, the same Laura Horton who died in Gwen's presence, Jen is his sister, Lucas his half brother. (Bill Horton & Kate Roberts)

Mike and Robin (Robert LeClair's niece) never ended up getting married. He was willing to convert to the Jewish faith for her, but she realized his heart wasn't truly in it and backed out of the wedding. When she left Salem she was pregnant with Jeremy but didn't tell him. Mike only learned Robin had his baby after she returned to Salem with Jeremy.

That is good new! I like her, even tho I only saw her, so far, a couple of times. Wonder how long the contract is for....3 mos, 6 mos, 1 year????
