What about all the fans that hate EJ and Abby together?

They never as popular as EJ and Sami were and Days knows that this why it will Sami and EJ in the end them having EJ cheat on Sami was the worst thing Days ever did it ended up losing them their biggest stars Alison Sweeney and James Scott(EJ) have left they carried this show for the last 8 years and Ken Corday knows that this why he is silent. Have you notice he hasn't said a word about them leaving because he knows its the end for Days this show is going complete rubbish without Sami and EJ and he knows it. As for the ratings Days has been doing rubbish for the last 6 months and you can't blame EJ and Sami they destroyed them to pimp some lame character called Abby only reason people are talking about her is because she in EJ and Sami's story no one even noticed her before January and that she is boring as hell.
 
Worst thing Days ever did? How so? Because last time I checked, EJ and Abby brought in HUGE ratings! Far more than any of the Elvis and Samanther scenes, which as we have seen (especially lately) have brought in lackluster 1.6-1.8 ratings for Days. Many people absolutely LOVED Abigail and EJ because it was unexpected and there was serious chemistry.

As for worst things Days ever did, I have quite a few:
-That stupid egg storyline back in 2012 with Hope and John as Gina and the Pawn. Hope and John were married, not Marlena and John nor Bo and Hope.
-How they sent Bo offscreen
-Kristen's return to Salem last year
-EJ getting engaged to Taylor in 2011 after starting his happy life with Nicole
-The Fake Rafe storyline of 2011 which, along with EJ-Taylor, nearly killed the show!
-That disgusting grief romp, which led to the breakup of the happy couple and family that Sami-Rafe had established. Especially with it happening so soon after the Fake Rafe reveal, and EJ falling madly in love with Nicole and winning her back.
-Breaking up Stefano and Kate so she could sleep with Ian, and later, Rafe. So pointless! Now we barely see Stefano, Kate is annoying, and there was that pointless plot where EJ was not really Stefano's son and Stefano died, only for EJ to actually be a DiMera and Stefano was alive, replaced by a dead imposter...talk about pointless.
-Billie coming back to Salem in 2012 and flirting with Daniel, when Daniel ended up romping with a pregnant Nicole instead.
-Having Sami get involved with Lucas and Rafe, but continue her EJ love triangles with both of them, then eventually get back with her rapist.
-Having EJ rape Sami, then (along with Stefano) rape her by proxy using the Fake Rafe
-Bringing EJ onto the soap in the first place.
 
Daysd, enough said!:clap::clap::clap::love::hug: EJandsamifan DAYS is hardly losing its "biggest stars":rolleyes: That is a stretch. DAYS was fine without the "golden couple" for YEARS and YEARS and will be fine after they last air thank you. Also Ali Sweeney (Sami), has said she wanted to try other things so more power to her. Her leaving has nothing to do with this current storyline which she has said in interviews she enjoys. I would too after playing a fool for the last 2+ years especially.

You make laugh how you blame Sami and EJ for the bad ratings when they destroyed the couple for this Abby story its them been getting the low ratings not EJ and Sami they lost nearly all the EJ and Sami fans because of this crap the day Abby thought she was pregnant with EJ's baby got a 1.6 oh year that is so great. No ones wants to see EJ have sex with a little girl Abby is not woman for EJ he only ever love one woman her name is Sami the writers ruined EJ's character no wonder James Scott(EJ) left he hated this story and that is the truth never once did you seem promote EJ and Abby he always going how much EJ loves Sami.

You talking about that two week spell in Feb when everyone was staying in because of the cold weather that is only reason why Days got a huge bump, hell even the site that posted the ratings was saying only reason why all the soaps were up because of the awful cold weather you notice all the soaps were getting big bumps not just Days. EJ and Abby were a failure no one likes this story except the people that hate EJ and Sami and they are small bunch of people and that is the truth they nearly destroyed this show go and check out Face book and your see the hate towards EJ and Abby there much more love for EJ and Sami and that is because belong together.
 
EJ and Sami were destroyed LONG before Abby came along. Sorry, she is the least of this sham couples problems. She only served to reinforce WHY Elvis and Samantha do not work and bring out the absolute worst in each other.:sick: Also "ratings" the PTB don't care about either, they will do whatever they want period. Whether we as viewers like their decisions or not. NO ONE is immune from the poison pen, not even Elvis and Samantha, despite all the whitewashing.
 
Oh, I bet we could go back even further for "the worst thing Days ever did". Killing off Patch comes to mind. Trying to pair up Shane & Kayla is another. The entire story we never mention because it was so ghastly so...G of E...is as far as I go. Then there is that really bad airline to Vegas story (Touch the Sky Airline). So very, very stupid.

And let me add one more thing. Days has been in existence for almost 50 years, and a good portion of that time did not have either EJ or Sami and it certainly lasted a long, long time.

Please do not try and insinuate that either Alison Sweeney or James Scott decided to leave the show because of the Abby/EJ affair. That is pure hogwash. Both actors have been talking of leaving for a couple of years now. Corday knew Alison was going for months before it was made public. Same goes for James Scott. And because they knew for so long that both actors were leaving, this current story was written. Headwriters block their story bible a year in advance of filming. Then it gets fleshed out, and decisions as to how long it will run, and finally breakdown & then at last dialogue, which also can get changed some.

Meaning, the EJ/Abby affair was thought up and written long before the actors gave official notice.

The same can be said for all the EJ-Sami scenes. Maybe the days they got high ratings were also because the weather was too unpleasant outside (too sultry or too cold).

Abby is not a little girl. She's 21. As for EJ's loves...he's been in love with Nicole and Taylor. I personally don't think he even loves Sami. You don't rape someone you love, kidnap their child and make them think it's dead, send an imposter into their home to rape them...the list goes on and on. If EJ even loved and trusted Sami so much, why did he keep all that evidence against her and Will? Yup, true love and trust right there, what a healthy relationship:sarcasm:

James Scott (EJ) is like Ken Corday and Ali Sweeney (Sami). He'll say anything to promote the current story. So of course he'll say he loves Sami, because that is what the show is trying to shove down our throats-er, I mean, portray for the audience.

EJ & Sami belonging together is just your opinion. The fans of this couple are a small minority who are just very vocal and well-organized.

A great many people loved the EJ-Abby story. Even a number of EJ-Sami fans I saw commenting on YouTube said they were 'converted' from the EJ-Sami fanbase to the EJ-Abby one because of the sheer chemistry, and that Sami is always ungrateful to EJ, as she just complains even though he always cleans up her messes. Sami also turns EJ into a wimp, just like Taylor did. He and Nicole were a match made in heaven-they accepted each other for who they were, and were devious and scheming, but also loving to one another and had a family dynamic with the kids.

Answer this for me: If EJ loved Sami so much, why did he cheat on her? All of the EJ-Sami fans said he cheated on Nicole because he never loved her (and we all know that the Taylor thing was not taken seriously by anyone). Why can't the same be said here? It reeks of hypocrisy and favoritism, just as many stories revolving around this disgusting couple have for years. Prime example? When Sami told Gabi to stay away from Nick when he tried to rape her. Meanwhile, Sami is in bed with an man who DID rape her, and then along with Fatha, raped her by proxy with the Fake Rafe.
 
At the suggestion of a poster, I have moved these posts from the thread where they went so far afield from the topic, which was a poll, and even titled it as suggested there. (Hated to just delete the posts, so...)
 
Sorry, Days, but I have to disagree with you about bringing in EJ/James Scott. I will always believe firmly that the powers that be made a monumental mistake in having EJ be responsible for the black glove crimes, torturing Steve/John, raping Sami, as well as his numerous other crimes. EJ/James Scott and Sami/Alison Sweeney had great chemistry and could have been a good couple. Unfortunately, the writers went too far and ruined any potential EJ/Sami could have had. If EJ had to be Stefano's son, they never should have had him be as evil as he was. He could have and should have been the complete opposite of Stefano or the anti-Stefano.
 
EJ (James Scott) and Sami (Alison Sweeney) have carried the show for 8 years???!!! Gee, the last time I looked, Days was an ensemble cast. EJ/Sami have gotten the most exposure from cross-advertising of the network on other shows, but they have NOT carried the show. The show existed long before EJ, long before Sami, and it will continue to exist long after the characters leave the screen. Carried the show?! If Tom/Alice Horton didn't carry the show, then NO ONE else has ever carried. Period.

The operative words here are "had" and "could have been." Yes, tabbycat46, I agree that the writers ruined any chance they might have had to make EJ and Sami a good and long-lasting couple. They can't un-ring the bell, though. There is still a huge number of viewers who won't tolerate a victim's living with and marrying her rapist. That same group will not accept EJ DiMera as a romantic lead, either.
 
EJandSamiFan, as one who also loves the couple, things need to be looked at in perspective. Their story isn't original to Days. Look at some old footage of Bill & Laura Horton, the 1st woman raped by man marries him later on Days couple.

EJ & Sami do create a huge amount of internet & coffee table chatter from both sides of opinions but you have to realize that just because some like them that everyone doesn't have to. That's the joy of opinions. Stand your ground & enjoy them but please don't argue opinion as fact unless you can back it up with proof or simply state it as your opinion. That's like Rule #1 of debate.

The posters here that like EJ & Sami understand that the majority of the members here don't share our opinion. We try not to hijack threads solely to create a stir. We just want to voice our opinions like everyone else. Please join in discussions but don't create turmoil for the fun of it. That lessens the fight that we have in showing that we here are not one of those EJ & Sami fans that give the rest of us a bad rap. The show was on for many years before this couple & hopefully will be on for many more after. From one EJ & Sami fan to another, there are & have been other couples that you may find you like on the show. Don't throw all your love into 1 basket :)
