Rafe questions Nicole’s interest in Eric and Jada’s date. [There's no reason to ask questions. Like most people in Salem, Nicole is a confirmed busybody.]

Clyde, Nancy, Brady, and Chloe put the pieces together. [This conjures up images of the four of them sitting around a table working on a jigsaw puzzle.]

Clyde shoots the pieces when they don't fit right; or strings them up and beats them.

To make sure she places the last piece, Nancy hides a few pieces in her wig.

Brady spends the whole time working on a single corner.

Chloe makes good progress, but spends most of the time admiring herself in the mirror or sneering at Clyde.

She's way old enough to be his mother. She was supposed be in Steve's age group. As you said, let's hope it's something else. Ditto Alex and Chanel.
