Is Will stupid or is he just still inexperienced and defers to his partner, elders, employers because of never learning how to stand up for himself?
I am just thinking back to the past, the many secrets and blackmails Will has had to endure which have felt life or death to him. Each time he is continually placed in a position where he does not want to disappoint or be a massive failure so he has kept his mouth shut and the pressure builds.
Whatever the stressors, makes for good soapy story in my opinion.
