Shakespeare explored many different types of passionate relationships, he dug into the ugliness of humanity as well as the beauty of it. I do not think anything would make him turn in his grave, this after all was the man who wrote about humans being cooked in a pie.

And as for arguments that result in sore throats, sometimes it just goes with the territory of being in a relationship.

Also, it's not like this knowledge would give EJ any more leverage over Samantha. He already knows that it was Will who shot him in the head.
Sami shot EJ in the head. Will shot him in the back. EJ has the evidence for both shootings.

Why is EJ so desperate for her that he would rather she be alone and miserable if she is not with him?
EJ wants Sami because he wants the kind of love, loyalty, and devotion he knows she is capable of. Sami was willing to literally do ANYTHING to save Lucas' life the night EJ raped Sami. What EJ has never understood is that kind of love can't be forced. Sami willingly married Rafe and Lucas because she loved them and wanted to be with them. Sami was blackmailed into marrying EJ. Also, obsession is not reasonable or logical. For whatever reason, these writers like to pretend EJ and Sami were a married couple who got divorced, and are now getting back together. They want to ignore seven years of history of Sami not wanting to be with EJ, and EJ trying to force her to be with him.

Even without their history the scene in this episode would be disturbing. EJ is so much bigger than Sami she doesn't stand a chance against him, and there is no one in the Dimera Mansion to get in EJ's way. Brady and Chad have moved out, and the staff will do whatever EJ tells them to.

However, I think both actors are doing a great job in their scenes. I also think they have great chemistry together, but that's something the writers threw away when they had EJ rape Sami. No amount of chemistry between the actors can make up for all the abuse EJ has heaped on Sami. The character of EJ is an abusive jerk. No matter how he starts out in a relationship, it always devolves into EJ taking his anger out on whoever he is with.

While I was happy that Sami stood up for herself, and really let EJ have it, I did not think all that "I love you, I miss you" was needed.
I deplore yelling and screaming, I was happy to see Sami push him away from her, but then she ruined it all by stripping and talking of having sex on the piano. EJ used lies to defend himself, as usual, and truly, it is a shame that Sami refuses to bring up the horrible things he has done to her, when she had the perfect opportunity. Yep, he loved her so much he put the stranger in her bed, ordered the man to tell him when he had sex with Sami, then laughed and toasted his dad about it. O.K. Sami doesn't know about the "toasting", but she sure knows about the fake Rafe and who installed him in her place.
Nope, sounded a lot like the War of the Roses.......only they both walked out alive. (that was a movie, wherein the battling husband and wife fought so bitterly, they eventually managed to kill themselves in the middle of another stupid battle)

Sami shot EJ in the head. Will shot him in the back. EJ has the evidence for both shootings.
EJ has no evidence that Will shot him. He only has Arianna's little flip camera with Sami saying she shot him in the back.

EJ has never shown or said he had any evidence. I thought Ariana's camera was destroyed??? EJ only guessed about Will because Lucas of Lucas going to jail, and not wanting a trial, etc, but getting Will out of the country first. As to Sami shooting him in the head. always got a kick out of that, because orignally, EJ was supposed to have done it himself. Thus all those mirrors, etc.
And no, EJ did not admit knowing about Dr. Chyka and the drugging. And Sami knows he is withholding something else from her, EJ won't admit it. Instead yells and screams about just finding out Kristen slept with Eric an hour before the wedding. Which is also a lie. He also knew she taped it, though she thought the video tape was destroyed. So he just yells & screams his lies. Gad, I hope there is no more of that.

LOLOL, good one, Mandie.:rotfl: (I think the idiot was about to say "wife", am glad she never got the word out)

I am so THRILLED that Ej has lied and continues the circle of lies regarding what he knows and when he knew it about the Kristen/Eric debacle...He is making Sami look like FOOL for all the time she has defended him to her family about Junior being a changed man!!....And I am loving it

Apparently my boyfriend watched the show and he said that the acting by both was way over the top for him . He said he was surprised that they
both didn't have blood vessels broken . He also asked me how do you enjoy watching that show if this is what it is about.

To me, it sounded like James Scott (EJ) was actually hoarse. Wonder if he and Alison Sweeney (Sami) rehearsed on their own and he strained his voice before they taped the scene?

I agree the Elvis and Samantha scenes were over the top and so predictable - why bother? It's become lather, rinse, repeat with them

While I wanted to smack Theresa in the head I couldn't not watch her scenes with JJ. When she had her neighbor pretend to be a clerk of the Judge on JJ's case I was kind of impressed - I'm afraid she's going to play JJ like a fiddle. What court would take her "evidence" seriously though? She's got a record herself for crying out loud and is on probation herself!

Zombie Nick is sure fun - I love it when he shows up these days :)

I stumbled upon the SoapDigest at my local CVS yesterday and it is Claming that Ej/Sami are OVER!
Yeah... probably for a nano-second, then they argue again and have angry sex.

EJ has no evidence that Will shot him. He only has Arianna's little flip camera with Sami saying she shot him in the back.
Stefano has the evidence from the police station from when Will shot EJ in the back, and Lucas confessed to protect Will. EJ also has the gun Sami shot him with (which was his own gun). His men found it in the river. EJ shrugging off Sami shooting him in the head when Kristen, Rafe, etc., ask him about it really highlights how delusional and obsessed EJ is.

How could Sami and EJ have that argument, and not talk about any of their history with each other? The writers just keep ignoring ALL of the elephants in the room.

No, Stefano has the evidence that was left littered around the area, none of which actually proved that Will was the one to pull the trigger.
EJ also has the gun Sami shot him with (which was his own gun). His men found it in the river.
He said he did, but it was never shown. He was bluffing.

@Stellasamifam, #33: Superb, professional scene review!

@Missharleyquin, #34:
she could have just explained to him long ago that she still has feelings for him, but instead she has acted friendly and let him think that the past was just that.

Any guy who would not be aware of Kate's true feelings would have to be a half-wit. In my never to be humble opinion, of course! That said, you are right; Kate should have made her feelings unambiguously clear.

@one4mc, #40: I am very fortunate that I have never had a yelling/screaming argument with a significant other. "A lover, not a fighter," I reckon.

edited to write out text speak abbreviation....JS
