Jen67, I can see what you're saying. I guess I'm somewhere in between. I know Chloe doesn't have the right to keep the baby and the longer she stalls, the worse it's going to be. But I do feel sorry for her in a way. I can't imagine how anyone can do the surrogate thing in the first place. It would be heartbreaking for me to carry and give birth to a baby, then to have to give it up.

Yes, that should be considered and dealt with before entering into such a plan, which Chloe did and was excited about giving Nicole a baby. But Deimos being in the picture threw her for a loop, and he just kept making it worse by forcing her to do the paternity test and sticking his nose in her face in a threatening manner every time she turned around.

Finally, she overheard his threat to kill someone. So while I think she should go ahead and give the baby to Nicole, I still do feel sympathy for her.

I also was going to say what susala said about Nicole and the baby being in danger if she should try to leave Deimos. With the power he has gained he could come up with all kinds of ways of forcing her to stay with him and I wouldn't doubt for a minute that he would do whatever it takes.
 
Nicole would have protection right and left. But the thing is, right now. Holly is just a couple weeks old. Deimos would have NO influence on her. Nicole would. Chloe is being unreasonable at this point. I see and understand both sides. But the fact remains, Chloe agreed, via contract, to certain conditions, has failed. Nicole is the bio mother, Chloe promised and agreed in writing to give the baby to Nicole when born.

If Daniel being dead now makes that contract null and void, then to court we go, and Nicole is still the bio mom.
 
Daniel was dead when Chloe took it upon herself to decide to try and give Nicole, not Nicole and Daniel, a baby. Did she think Nicole would stay single forever? Granted Demios is not a good guy but carrying the baby was based on giving it to Nicole and not based on if Chloe likes or trust what ever man Nicole is involved with.
 
It is NOT Chloe's decision. What if Nicole leaves Deimos and hooks up with Brady so Chloe gives Nicole her baby then Brady falls off the wagon and gets on booze and drugs again. Will Chloe jump in and try to take Holly back or will she trust Nicole to take care of her own daughter? Stupid storyline!!:rolleyes::beat::rolleyes:
 
Old Soapie, the suggestion that Chloe might not find Brady a suitable influence on Baby Holly suggests that she could have Nicole sign a contract promising certain things about Holly's future.

Off-limits men for Nicole: Deimos :eek:, Brady (potential drug addict and alcoholic), Chad (a DiMera), Dr. Baker (gambling addict and baby broker), Gus (Vivian worshiper), Fynn Thompson (ladies man), Lucas (his mother is Kate), Lt. Raines (mean), Abe (too old), Eric (bad haircut), etc., etc.

Banned cities: Las Vegas (too hot and full of gamblers), Seattle (too rainy -- Holly might get wet), New Orleans (too many tourists), Miami (too hot and possible hurricanes), Orlando (too close to Disneyworld), Los Angeles (traffic jams), San Francisco (earthquakes and fog), etc.

Banned from college application list: Salem U. (unchallenging party school), Northwestern (too close to Lake Michigan -- Holly might drown), Harvard and Yale (too hard to get into -- Holly must never be rejected), Tulane (in New Orleans), Alabama (too much football), etc.
 
What I hate about the Chloe and Nicole storyline is.......they were never THAT close! Yes, they were drinking gal pals because they both had a common enemy at the time, Sami. But that friendship went to hell when Chloe went psycho and basically kept verbally assaulting Nicole about not being able to have a baby and shaming her every chance she got in 2013.

The writers literally did major rewriting. For Maggie to say they been friends for decades is a complete rewrite when it was not even 12 years ago Nicole was trying to cause Chloe with flesh eating bacteria. Deimos is a random character who basically is a Daniel replacement in my opinion.
 
So the guy is ready to shoot Hope ? She's not armed ! Plus, what is it : the Old West ? Shoot on sight ? This is just ridiculous. If only this guy could shoot himself in the foot. I don't like the storyline, mind you, but seriously, this is... Oh, I'm out of words. Frustrating. Yeah.
 
Hasn't Days done the freezer thing before? With other characters. Anyway freezer is a good place for them so the know the love is frozen and cold. Meaning, shut down for good. ShaSha
