Sami stole the money AFTER attending Will's funeral. She came back because of the one year anniversary of EJ's death, Will was killed, funeral. Marlena gave her a letter that was in a pile of mail that she meant to send on......Inside was all the codes, passwords, and instructions to get the DiMera liquid assets. She had to use the computer inside DiMansion.....she managed to do that.
 
There's really no believeable, clean switch point between the actors’ roles they could use to explain the switch (if that is indeed how they do it). This will be another "Steven Carrington" (from Dynasty) moment if they go that way.

Let's face it, André should be dead nearly a dozen times by now, and it makes no sense that he had surgery to look like the man who's not the son of the man he himself IS the son of...oy vey....

I'm super pumped Will is back (as Lauren Koslow's/Kate tweet seems to confirm finally) and will accept whatever they give us.

On to the point of doubles - they did a "Rafe clone" type story on Y&R a few years back, and my coworkers and I couldn't get over the stupidity of it. HOW DO YOU NOT NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE?!? I'm talking in the ...equipment area. Or are these mad reconstructionists really that particular? Seriously. OK, off to the corner I go.

I agree the show will likely go the "switch" route BUT

I am open to Sami being in the know about Will IF the entire EJ is still alive stuff from 2015 was just part of the ruse to get her out of Salem quickly after Will's "funeral". Bigger question is did Lucas know?

OR I am also open to Paul being a Dimera plant or long lost child all this time and not really being John's son. The John's son piece could have been part of the strategy to infiltrate the family. There's also been speculation about Kristen returning based on a tweet from Eileen Davidson (Kristen) earlier this week. Maybe this all goes together.
 
Kristen's body was never found; an easy return. :rolleyes:

I am open to an EJ return, sans Sami.

I just had a horrible thought that this is going to be a Patrick Duffy/Dallas thing. Bobby didn't die, he's in the shower - y'all remember the Dream Season, right?

Let's see if this is the case (and I'm just spitballin'), Will died in late 2015, so that would include Abby's insanity and running away, the Chad/Gabi pining, Tripp's appearance, John's disappearance, Stefano's death, the Justin/Adrienne/Lucas issues (and her cancer) - all of this never happened. What else that's major that would revert? (or what would you miss as a result of this)
 
Salem seems to be a very dangerous place for imposters. They have a remarkably high mortality rate. How long will it be before nobody will agree to impersonate a Salemite, no matter how much money they're offered. E.g., Dario: "Rats, I need somebody to impersonate Deimos so I can destroy Titan, but nobody will take the job. What's the world coming to when you can't even hire a decent imposter?"

Thanks, I knew I had seen it somewhere earlier, but was confused when posters said it wasn't confirmed he was Will. I couldn't find where I saw it (probably because I was so busy doing Cousin Balki's "Dance of Joy").

It would also undo everything since the Centennial - à la a really great fan fiction I read somewhere. And honestly I'm on-board with this because the show had too dark a direction under Griffith (Ciara's rape, Joey murdering Ava, etc) and too stupid/unfocused a direction under Higley.

The possibilities are endless. If Lucas knew, did Adrienne? Did Sonny? Lots of drama could result from this.
 
Paige could be brought back for JJ. I don't see the Lani/JJ story going anywhere nor do I care for that coupling.
 
Bo would still be alive, Aiden dead and gone, if he ever existed, no rape of Ciara, if it's all a dream. I'm kind of hoping for that, since the last 2 years have been hard to take. No new Dad & Mom for John. No baby Thomas. Gabi still in jail, etc.
 
Doubt they would erase that much for a "dream" just to bring Will back. Dallas only had a season to erase. Once a week shows. Days has 5 days a week, 2 years.
 
I was tossing around, in my mind, what if EJ is alive, and he talked to Will. He told Will that Clyde had "killed" him, Will was sure Ben was the necktie killer, and together they set up Ben to think he killed Will. Somehow, of course, switching Will's alive body for an empty casket. And now, for what far fetched reason, Will feels it's safe to come out of hiding. All very far fetched, repetitive (Abby faking her death) but who knows.
 
Except, Abby did not initially fake her death. That was Andre, who took advantage of the plane that went down, and got someone to insert her name into the passenger list. However, he evidently informed Laura, so yes, Abby knew she was supposed to be dead, and when she came back to Salem, did not want to reveal she was alive.
