Melissa told Pete she had a plan. She would go to dance camp and find ways to rendezvous with Pete in the evenings. Pete kept objecting, but Melissa convinced him that they had to find time to spend together. Melissa got ready to go to camp, and Danny and Chris both gave Pete contradictory orders. Pete got upset and yelled that he wasn’t their slave. Later, Melissa got on the bus to go to camp. She kept looking out the window, and the bus driver asked if she was looking for someone. She said yes. The bus driver told her it appeared the person didn’t show, and he said it was time to go. Suddenly, Melissa heard pounding on the side door and asked the bus driver to wait and see who it was.

Anna and Alex had decided to go into the fashion business together after Liz announced that Anna’s dress was a huge hit in Las Vegas. Anna hired Calliope to make some dresses; she then planned to throw a party for Tony, who had been away, and also debut her new fashion line. Alex, Anna, and Calliope left Tony’s penthouse, and a mystery woman arrived. She removed her jacket and went into the other room. Later, Tony arrived home and saw flowers everywhere. He called out for the new maid, Martha, but realized he was home alone. “Welcome home, Count,” he said to himself.

Tony decided to go out for dinner, so he called and asked for the car to be sent around for him in half an hour. He then went into his bedroom and then into the bathroom to take a shower. Since he didn’t turn on the light, Tony failed to notice the woman who was sound asleep in his bed. Anna, all dressed up, arrived at the penthouse and stepped out on the balcony to admire the view. “Oh, I love the view from a penthouse balcony,” she said. “Someday this is all going to be mine. I’ll own the penthouse and the entire city.” Meanwhile, Tony was finishing up his shower. He finished up, grabbed a towel, went into the bedroom, and flipped on the light. The woman woke up, saw Tony, pulled the sheet around her, and started screaming her head off as a confused Tony stood there and stared at her.

The woman jumped up, wrapped the sheet around her, and warned Tony to stay away from her. Anna ran into the room and asked, “Oh, well, is this a private party, or can anybody play?” Tony said he didn’t know what was going on and mentioned that this was his home. The woman seemed surprised and asked, “Who are you?” “No, the question, my dear, is who are you?” asked Tony. “And what the devil are you doing in my bedroom?” Anna was not happy, and the woman asked who she was. She announced that she was Anna DiMera and used to live there. Tony told Anna he thought the catfights would stop after Daphne stayed behind in Europe for a while. Anna asked if Tony wasn’t interested to find out who the woman was since she was sleeping in his bed. The woman said she met Daphne in Europe, and the two got along really well. She told Daphne she was going to be visiting Salem, and Daphne insisted that she use the penthouse. She said she didn’t know Tony would be back so soon and used the key Daphne loaned her. Tony asked for the woman’s name, and she introduced herself . . . as Kimberly Brady! Anna suggested Kimberly could stay at the Salem Inn, and Kim excused herself to change back into her clothes. Later, Tony asked Kimberly why she wasn’t staying with her family. She said she just needed some time alone but that it really wasn’t any of Tony’s business. Tony flirted with Kimberly, who called him a chauvinist. He invited her to dinner, and she declined his invitation. Kimberly picked up the phone to call Roman, and Tony said he would phone Daphne and let her know that Kim had arrived.

Anna’s models were showing off their dresses to Tony’s guests, and Maggie, Marlena, and Don remarked how impressed they were by Anna’s talent. “Yeah, Mrs. DiMera’s full of surprises,” Calliope said. “Yeah? She’s not the only one,” said Eugene. Calliope asked what he meant by that and told him, “If you think that you were insulting me, I just happen to have a few surprises that I could show you.” Tony arrived and was surprised to see everyone at his home. He asked if that was why Anna was there before, and she said yes. Tony admitted that it was nice to be surrounded by his friends. Kimberly then walked into the room, looked up, and saw Roman. She ran into her big brother’s arms, and they hugged. Roman couldn’t believe Kimberly was in Salem and asked if she could stay long. She said she didn’t know yet, then asked if he was going to introduce her to his wife. Roman introduced Kimberly to Marlena, and the two were happy to finally meet each other. Kimberly then followed Roman to the bar and told him she needed to talk to him because she was desperate. Anna then introduced some of her models. Kimberly suggested that this wasn’t the time or place to talk; Roman agreed. He said he would find Marlena, and they could go somewhere else. Alex teased Anna about Tony, who was the only one not interested in the fashion show. Anna told Alex to go find a sucker to buy his play; Alex suggested Tony, and Anna told him to watch it. Alex hinted that Anna’s fashion show was only a part of the party because Anna wanted Tony to help finance her new venture. Eugene followed Calliope onto the balcony. He tried to impress her by offering her a strawberry soda with three cherries and a stick of beef jerky. Calliope was mad because he ran off on her two times after their first meeting, which was a result of her responding to his personals ad. Calliope didn’t buy his explanations. The two sparred, and she left. Eugene poured the drink over the balcony and then apologized to the people below. Roman told Marlena that Kimberly wanted to talk and seemed scared. Marlena agreed that they should leave. They told Tony goodbye, and Kimberly privately thanked Tony for the use of his bed. “It was very comfortable,” she said. “Any time,” Tony replied. Roman and Marlena took Kimberly to Shenanigans. Roman said he understood how Kimberly ended up in Tony’s penthouse, but he asked why she didn’t go to his house or to Shawn and Caroline’s. Kimberly said she was being followed, and she didn’t want to put any of her family in danger. She said her problems began when she took a cruise with some friends to the Adriatic. When she returned to Paris, her apartment had been ransacked but nothing was taken. She said it happened again, and she moved to a hotel. She said it happened a third time, and she became frightened. Roman asked if Kimberly had any enemies. “No,” she said. “Of course not.”

The doorbell rang at the Brady home. Kimberly opened the door to Tony, who told her he was returning a negligee she left behind. Roman came out of the kitchen and greeted Tony, who then showed Roman the negligee he was returning. Kimberly told Roman it wasn’t what he was thinking. After Tony and Kimberly explained, the three of them sat down to breakfast. Marlena came downstairs and suggested that she and Roman go finish preparing the food. Kimberly called Tony a cad and accused him of trying to embarrass her because she saw him naked. The two flirted with each other. Roman had to leave for work, and Diane stopped by to see Marlena. Kimberly and Tony went to the kitchen to do dishes, and Diane told Marlena she was troubled because her 4-year-old son’s foster parents were divorcing. The two talked, and then Diane left. Kimberly came out and asked if Marlena’s friend had left. Marlena said yes and told Kim that Diane was also a friend of Bo’s. Kimberly asked how her baby brother was doing, and Marlena told her that he was heartbroken when the woman he loved married someone else. Kimberly said she couldn’t wait to meet Carrie, and Marlena told her she could meet her sooner than later if she went to Shawn and Caroline’s home. Kimberly said she would wait because of Shawn’s temper. Tony returned from the back yard, where he had been talking over the fence with Alice. Tony told Marlena that Alice said she needed to give her hydrangeas more water, and he said Alice also gave him advice on his begonias. Kimberly laughed that Tony had flowers at his penthouse. Tony suggested that his work was done since the dishes were finished and asked if he could do anything else for Marlena. She told him he had done enough, but then Kimberly asked him to drive her to the nearest, friendliest sports-car dealer. Marlena asked if Kimberly was going to buy a car, and she said yes. Marlena wondered if the visit wasn’t going to be such a short visit after all, and Kimberly told Marlena that she was in Salem to stay. Later, Kimberly met Roman at the Park Café for lunch. She told him that she had been haggling over car prices while Tony laughed at her. Roman asked if the Bradys’ “best and brightest” had been home yet. She said she saw Shawn and Caroline. She said it was a typical homecoming – Caroline cried, and Shawn yelled. She asked about Kayla, and Roman said she was working her tail off at University Hospital as well as a clinic down on the riverfront. Roman told Kimberly he contacted the Paris police, and there were no leads on the break-ins. He suggested that the people may have been looking for something in particular, and Kim said that they probably thought she was somebody else. Roman told Kimberly he heard that she had become a successful photographer while in Europe. She said she thought she had made it big after the Milan fashion shoot, but she couldn’t find a publisher for her work. She said she might find a studio in Salem and shoot portraits. Marlena arrived to join the two for lunch. She said she was so hungry, she felt like she was eating for three people. Kimberly asked if Marlena could be having twins, and Roman said twins did run in Marlena’s family. Marlena said she couldn’t be having twins because she would know if she were. She asked Kimberly if she found a car, and she said yes. She also said Tony laughed at her all morning. Roman and Marlena believed Tony liked Kimberly, but she laughed that off and said the last thing on her mind now was getting involved with a man.

Pete & Melissa – 7/27/84
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlCKu1rc7ZM

Melissa met a snooty girl named Susie at dance camp. Melissa was waiting for Susie to leave and Pete to arrive, but Susie went on and on about how great she was and how someone should have told Melissa that she was doing pirouettes wrong. Melissa finally convinced her to go do something else, and she let Pete into the cabin. He had brought burgers, and the two ate while Melissa suggested that she could lie that Pete was her cousin so he could get a job there. Pete told Melissa it was nice being in the country and away from Salem. He asked if she could ever live in the country. “Could you?” she asked him. Pete told Melissa he was unsure about working at the camp, because someone might tell Mickey or Maggie that they enjoyed meeting her cousin. He told her that he found a great swimming hole, though, and she told him she would sneak out and go swimming with him if he would teach her how to sneak out. Susie came to retrieve Melissa, but the door was locked. Melissa told Pete to hide in the closet. Susie went inside and found the burgers and fries. “No wonder you had your door locked,” she said. Susie wondered where the food came from and opened the closet to find Pete. Melissa lied that he was her cousin, Pete Anderson, from Salem. Susie stuck her head out the window and called out to the camp director. “Miss Riley,” she said, “we’ll be at rehearsal in a few minutes. Melissa was just introducing me to her cousin, Pete.” Melissa then called out to the woman and said her cousin Pete was looking for a job. That night, Pete and Melissa met up and went swimming. The two were flirting and being playful when Pete told Melissa he got a job at the camp. He said he would be sleeping in a cabin with the other hired hands but he would be allowed to take the Jeep into town. He suggested that the two of them could go into town sometime. The two started kissing when Susie walked up. “Cousins, huh?” she asked as Pete and Melissa gave her deer-in-the-headlights looks.

Susie told Melissa and Pete that she saw them kissing. The two continued to deny that they were anything more than cousins, and Susie suggested she might tell the camp director. Melissa said Susie would be labeled a “snitch” if she did that, but Susie said she didn’t think she would have to do that . . . as long as she got what she wanted from Melissa. Susie said she wanted the lead part in the dance recital, so Melissa agreed to give it up. Susie left, and Melissa and Pete enjoyed some alone time together. Pete worried about Melissa, who had been having nightmares about Mickey. She told him that she loved him and couldn’t stand to be apart from him. Susie reappeared and said she lied to the camp director that Melissa had twisted her ankle and was feeling under the weather; she also said that Maggie called and would be coming for a visit. Pete got upset and told Melissa that every time things were going right for them, somebody had to interrupt them. Melissa told Pete that as long as they loved each other, they could make their relationship work.

Bo and Megan went to Blondie’s and were dancing when Larry and Hope arrived. The Welches also began to dance. Liz greeted Maxwell, who watched the two couples. Liz remarked that they were two beautiful couples, and Max said he was lucky to have both couples as his dinner guests. Liz said she didn’t have a reservation for all of them, and Maxwell said it was because they didn’t yet know they were joining him for dinner. Maxwell invited the couples to join him, and they agreed. Bo saw Eugene and stepped away to talk to him. Eugene said he thought Bo and Hope were going to meet up in his basement. Bo said Larry had other plans for Hope, but that they would try to get down there later. Hope and Bo chatted for a minute before Larry returned. He made a crack about Bo’s intelligence and reminded Bo that Hope was all his now. Bo laughed as Larry walked away. Liz sang “Whatever We Imagine,” and Maxwell, Megan, and Larry enjoyed the song, completely unaware that Bo and Hope were playing footsies under the table. After the song was over, Hope excused herself and left the table. Megan said she hoped nothing was wrong and went to check on Hope. Maxwell said he was eagerly awaiting the exhibit tomorrow night, but Bo said he was concerned about security. Even after all the money Maxwell had put into the security, Bo said any amateur could still walk in and take something. In the ladies’ room, Hope called Alice and asked her to help get her out of her dinner date. Megan checked on Hope, who said she was fine. The pregnancy was mentioned, and Megan choked up. She apologized, but Hope said she would like to help if she could. Megan told her that she didn’t have anyone to talk to, and she said she had no friends because she focused on taking care of her father after her mother died. She told Hope that she really had no one else.

Megan told Hope that she still felt queasy whenever the subject of babies came up. She said she guessed that was understandable, that she would think about the baby that she and Bo had together. Hope was stunned to hear this, and Megan apologized. She told Hope that she figured Bo had told her. Hope said Bo probably would have told her if they had stayed together. Hope left to go back to the table, and Megan smiled. Hope returned to the table, and Dave told her she had a call from her grandmother. Hope took the call, then announced that she wasn’t feeling well and that Alice would be picking her up. Later, Hope entered Eugene’s basement through the tunnel and saw that he had prepared a romantic evening for her and Bo. Then Bo arrived, Eugene left, and Hope told Bo to “hold it right there.” Bo asked what was going on. “That’s exactly what I’d like to know,” Hope said. “What is going on? Bo, why have you been lying to me?” She told Bo that she knew about the baby, and Bo said he only learned he had a son a couple of weeks ago. He also told her that he wanted to find his little boy. Hope was worried because if Megan’s mother hadn’t lied and kept them apart, they might still be together. Bo told Hope he only cared about his little boy, not Megan. And he told Hope that he loved her. Hope asked Bo to get them out of this mess because she didn’t know how much longer she could stay away from him. Bo told her that he would get the information he needed once he was in New Orleans. Hope said she wished she could go with Bo, but he said she couldn’t. Hope suggested that she could work on Megan now that the two of them were “such good friends.” Bo said that wouldn’t be happening because Megan was going to New Orleans. Hope was not pleased. “Megan’s going to New Orleans with you?” she asked. Bo agreed, and Hope replied, “Over my dead body she’s going with you.” Bo reminded her that it was only for business. Eugene arrived and said Maxwell was on his way to the exhibit. Bo figured he had to get away fast and asked Eugene to look after Hope, but she told Eugene she didn’t need a watchdog and took off.

Melissa told Pete that Maggie and Don were on their way to the camp and would be there in two hours. Pete was worried they would find him there, but Melissa said she would take care of it. She planned to tell Maggie she had a limp and wanted to go home with her. Pete suggested that he leave, but Melissa said the only reason she went to camp was to have time with him. Pete told Melissa that although they had talked about running away together, they didn’t seem to mean it. He later tried to sneak out of the camp, but Melissa stopped him. He told her it would be easier if they just stopped trying to be together. Melissa tried to stop him from leaving, and she fell and hit her head. Pete stayed with Melissa, who recovered quickly. Pete told her she was the best thing that ever happened to him, but that it had to be over. Pete told Melissa he would always love her and then walked away.

Kimberly and Bo met for lunch at Blondie’s. Bo asked “Kimber” if she had dinner plans, and she said no. Bo asked if Kimberly would go out with Tony. She said absolutely not and started to leave, but Bo stopped her. Kimberly explained that her first contact with Tony was awkward, but Bo had heard about it from Roman. She again tried to refuse to go anywhere with Tony, but Bo said he needed her help. Kimberly asked if she could really be helpful to Bo’s private-eye business or if this was another little-boy prank. Bo told her it was no prank. Kimberly asked if he was in trouble, and he said that a lot of people could be in trouble. He wanted Kimberly to go with Tony to the art exhibit and take photographs. Kimberly wanted to object, but Bo interrupted Tony and Anna to ask Tony to escort Kimberly to the art show. Tony agreed, Kim was not thrilled, and Anna was very unhappy (she and Tony had been in the middle of a business meeting). Tony made suggestive, flirty comments to Kimberly, who ignored them. The two arrived at the art show, with Tony carrying some of Kim’s equipment.

Larry told Hope to behave as Maxwell, Gwen, and a photographer showed up to take some publicity shots of the happy couple. Gwen gave Larry dirty looks as she said, “What a lovely apartment” and “What a lovely picture you two make.” Hope said she thought this was a good time to make her announcement – that she was going to New Orleans. Larry told her she was catching him by surprise, but Hope said, “I think a wife should be full of surprises. Don’t you, Gwen?” Suddenly, a strange man exited the kitchen, made eye contact with Maxwell, and offered to serve everyone. Hope asked who he was, and Larry introduced her to Shane, who was taking over London’s duties. Hope made a sarcastic comment about Shane being a butler since she was well aware that London was there to spy on her. Larry wanted to talk about New Orleans, and Hope reminded him that a wife’s place is beside her husband, especially in her condition. “What a lovely sentiment,” said Gwen. “Isn’t that a lovely sentiment, Larry?” Hope talked about being by Larry’s side and knitting in the hotel room in her free time. Maxwell tried to discourage Hope, explaining that Larry would have several political meetings to keep him busy. Gwen suggested they stop talking about marriage and babies, and talk about the art exhibit. Maxwell said he had gained permission from the World’s Fair committee to use a large building. Hope then said she had a great idea – she would take her grandmother with her. Maxwell and Gwen left, and Larry told Hope that her going to New Orleans with him was out of the question. He accused her of wanting to spend time with Bo, and Hope told him that she knew better than that. She said she knew if she were to be seen with Bo, he could be killed. She said Bo was so smitten with Megan, that he probably wouldn’t acknowledge her presence anyway. Larry told Hope she couldn’t go. Later, Hope was on the patio when her watched started beeping. Shane heard the noise and told her he had been hearing that a lot; he asked her what it was. She lied that it was a reminder to take her vitamins. Shane said he saw her take her vitamins in the morning. She told him to mind his own business and to leave her alone. In her bedroom, Hope contacted Bo, who told her that Tom was on his way over to pick her up so they could meet. Tom arrived to take Hope to a “doctor’s appointment.” Shane was prepared to go with them, but Tom asked him to stay because Alice would be bringing over some things for the nursery. Shane said he would serve her tea when she arrived. “Oh, Alice takes lemon in her tea,” Tom said. “What would I do without you, Shane?” asked Hope. As Tom and Hope left, Shane muttered, “Lemon it shall be.”

Tom helped Hope find some time alone with Bo by arranging for them to meet in his office at the hospital. Bo reminded Hope how dangerous the situation was, and he told her that he wanted her to stand in a particular place when he gave the word. He told Hope he had to prove himself to Maxwell, who was looking for a right-hand man in Salem. At the art show, Bo positioned himself near a statue when Hope and Larry arrived. Hope moved into place, the lights went out, and Bo grabbed a piece of the statue and went into an elevator. Security guards drew their guns; when the elevator doors reopened, the officers told Bo to freeze.

Bo was caught “stealing” a statue but revealed to Maxwell that he staged the situation to prove to him that he needed additional security measures. Maxwell was pleased with Bo’s work and learned that Megan was in on the ruse. Hope got upset when she heard Max call Bo “son” and told Alice that Bo would not become his “son.” Tony was annoyed that Kimberly was more interested in photographing the art than having a conversation with him. Alice asked Larry if he would mind Hope staying at her house while he was in New Orleans, and Larry said he thought it was a great idea. Larry figured it would give him some alone time with Gwen.

After the art show, Tony told Kimberly he felt she was not honest with him. He said he already found it hard to trust people after his past with Stefano, the raving lunatic, and his murderous cousin, Andre. Kimberly didn’t apologize to Tony, but she admitted that the evening was more than a social occasion. She told him she was doing something for Bo but couldn’t explain. Tony asked if they could at least be friends and inquired about her time in Europe. Kimberly said she got tired of living from hotel to hotel, missed her family, and thought living in Salem would offer her more protection. Tony asked why she needed protection, and Kim said she used the wrong word and didn’t mean it.

Maxwell told Bo that he had proven himself. He said he wanted to leave his little empire someday to someone and that Megan couldn’t run things on her own. However, he said Bo would have to prove himself to Max’s colleagues and would be given an opportunity to do so in New Orleans. Maxwell left, and Abe arrived. Bo handed him a roll of film. After the art show, Tom took Hope home with him and excused himself after Bo came up from the basement. Bo thanked “Doc H.” Bo told Hope she got too emotional at the art show, but Hope said she thought the guards might shoot him. Bo reminded Hope that the situation was dangerous and explained that that was why she couldn’t go to New Orleans. Maxwell circled the crystal sculpture, asking, “Which one of you crystals contains the power?” asked Max. “You all look alike.” Megan entered the room and told Maxwell that “it” was finally there; she gave him a letter that came on the flight from London. Larry read the letter as Megan told Maxwell to think about all the wealth and power they were going to obtain. She said all they had to do was figure out which of the prisms was “the one.” Larry finished the letter and said their European colleagues were very clever. He then walked to an art collection and removed a disk hidden in the background. “The information is in this,” he said. “At last.” Alice called Tom from the Daileys’ home, and Tom, Bo, and Hope rushed over there. Alice said when they got there, the place was a shambles and Harold was lying on the couch; she said she called the paramedics, but it was too late. Hope asked if he was murdered, but Alice said Harold had a heart attack. Bo figured it happened when Harold walked in on whoever was ransacking the place. Tom and Alice took Blanche home with them and warned Bo to be careful. Bo told Hope he would have to leave this for Abe because he had to get to New Orleans. Hope told Bo she would find some way to go, too, but Bo made her promise that she would stay in Salem. Hope hugged Bo and told him that she promised she would not go to New Orleans . . . but her fingers were crossed behind his back!

Melissa went to Shenanigans and saw Danny. She was looking for Pete, who had missed a meeting with his probation officer. Pete arrived and told Danny he was quitting his job at Shenanigans. He was cool with Melissa and told her that he went to Carlo’s party to say goodbye to her, but he saw her kissing another guy. Melissa told him she was trying to “have fun” like he told her to. Pete went down to the pier and looked through the want ads. He saw an advertisement for a lawyer, then fantasized about graduating from law school and asking Melissa to marry him. Pete told himself that would never happen, then looked up to see Speed. He was happy to see his friend, who had recovered from his injury. He told Speed that he was looking for a job, and Speed suggested a place on the river that he recently learned about. Melissa ran into Tess, who thought Melissa was trying to meet up with Pete. Melissa told Tess that the two of them were through, and Tess said she hoped so. She asked Melissa to tell Pete she was working at Blondie’s, in case Melissa happened to see him. Later, Melissa did see Pete and Speed. She gave Pete the message and left. Speed was happy to hear that Pete and Melissa had broken up; he said Melissa only dragged Pete down. Speed offered to walk with Pete to the business he told him about.

Bo was at the Horton house when Alice noticed a strange car parked outside. She asked if it was one of Abe’s men, and Bo said no. Hope went downstairs to see Bo, and Alice hurried out the front door. Bo was unable to stop her, and Hope asked what was going on. Alice approached the man and asked if he was having trouble. He apologized and said he wasn’t able to get his car to start. Alice told him he would have to move his car because her home was on the charity tour of historically significant homes in Salem, and there would be a lot of traffic arriving very soon. The man told Alice he was sorry, but he had been unable to start his car. “I haven’t seen you try to start it,” she said. The man explained to her that he was looking at two wires under the hood; he said that if you put the two wires together, it was the same as using the key. Alice asked why he didn’t just use the key. He told her it didn’t work, and neither did the wires. “Oh, my dear, I see that you have a problem,” said Alice. “I’ll call a tow truck for you.” The man asked Alice not to do that and told her he just needed two minutes. She said she would give him two minutes, then looked at her watch. Seven minutes later, Alice told him she had given him long enough. The man asked Alice to go back in her house and let him handle it, but Alice got inside the car and turned the key, starting up the car. “See? It started just perfectly,” Alice said. “You must have fixed it, you clever thing.” Alice suggested the man leave and told him it was lovely meeting him. He got in the car and drove off. As Alice waved, she said to herself, “I hope that young man knows he’s been had.” Tom was looking for Alice, and Bo and Hope tried to explain that she was out in the street “making mincemeat” out of someone who was watching the house. “Alice is dealing with a thug?” asked Tom. “Why would you let her go out there?” Bo said Alice was too fast, and Tom agreed that you have to be pretty quick to keep up with Alice. Alice returned, and she and Tom wished Bo lots of luck in New Orleans. Hope kissed Bo and told him goodbye.

ON LOCATION IN NEW ORLEANS . . . Maxwell and Megan arrived at their mansion. They were greeted by their butler, Charles, who assured them that the guest rooms were ready. Megan told Charles to make sure Bo’s room was next to hers. Megan entered a room and told Max it was her favorite room, and that she intended to be married in that room. Maxwell asked if the bridegroom was anyone he knew. Megan noticed gardenias and told Maxwell they were romantic. He reminded her that their trip was about more than romance; it was about their future. Megan asked if he had received a replacement disc yet; Maxwell said not yet, and he wondered how anyone was able to get their hands on the last one. Megan asked about his other plan, and he said he was waiting for a report. But he told her that they were close to getting their hands on the one person who would bring the two of them together forever. Bo arrived by limo to the Hathaway mansion. As he was getting out of the car, his watch beeped. Bo told the driver he forgot he had another stop to make first, but the driver told Bo he should explain that to Miss Megan first. Bo went inside and greeted Megan and Maxwell, but he said he wanted to go to the World’s Fair to make sure the art for the exhibit was being unloaded properly. Max said the delivery wasn’t for another hour, and Megan insisted on giving Bo a tour of the grounds. Later, Bo’s watch beeped and Megan asked what it was. He said he needed to call Kimberly, in private. Megan excused herself to change into a swimsuit, and Bo called Hope. She told him she received a message for him to go to Jackson Square for some important information that might change his plans in New Orleans; she said he was to go to a carriage led by the horse (Jezebel) with the most flowers. Bo finished the conversation and wondered what information he was supposed to be getting. Megan wanted Bo to go swimming with her, but Bo lied that he had to meet her father at the exhibit hall to talk about security. At that moment, Maxwell walked down the stairs and said he didn’t have a meeting on his agenda. Bo said he must have made a mistake but still needed to make sure everything was secure. He promised he would get together with Megan later. Bo then made his way to Jackson Square, found the horse Jezebel, and climbed into the carriage. He asked the driver if he had information for him. The driver turned around, removed his hat, and . . . it was Hope! Bo was surprised to see Hope and a little upset, but he was also glad to see her. The two kissed.

Dr.Chip........I love these walks down memory lane.....and I think I have been remiss in thanking you for bringing them here. I know many here love these, and are so greatful you do this for us. Thank you, really, so very much.

Thanks, Poirot. I really enjoy the chance to reminisce. The early '80s were when DAYS grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go.

Thanks DrChip. Just watched the videos. Boy I miss the adventure they use to have on the show. Loved Bo finding Hope was not in Salem.

Speed introduced Pete to a strip club for women and encouraged him to ask for a job. Pete was not crazy about the idea, but the manager liked what he saw and offered Pete a job. Pete thought it over and agreed to take the job, even though it meant going shirtless, and wearing a flashy silver tie and tight black pants. Speed told Pete he was going to do great, especially when making money in tips. Pete waited on his first two customers, and the ladies openly flirted with him.

Bo was surprised to see Hope in New Orleans and told her that she shouldn’t be there. Hope told him she wanted to help him and that nobody else in Salem knew she was there except for Alice. Bo teased Hope, calling her “Fancy Face.” The two decided to make the best of it and spend some time together, so they got off the carriage and went to watch a mime and a juggler performing on the street. Hope got into the act with the mime, and then Bo assisted the juggler. The two then took a walk, with Hope pointing out historical landmarks. They sat for an artist who drew caricatures of them. Then they made their way to Bourbon Street, but Bo warned Hope that Maxwell’s house was nearby. They were going to change neighborhoods when Hope noticed a large poster advertising that Liz was singing somewhere nearby.

Bo and Hope went into a restaurant, and Bo asked for a secluded table. Hope hid as Liz entered and approached Bo. She was surprised to see someone from home and asked him to join her and Carlo for lunch. Hope was hiding behind some artificial trees when a waiter caught her and asked if she was looking for the ladies’ room. Hope said she was looking for her lipstick, then asked the waiter to take her to the outside balcony. Bo told Liz he couldn’t stay for lunch, because he was going to have to go out on the balcony to watch some artwork being delivered. Liz said she’d like to join him on the balcony, but Bo said it might be dangerous. Carlo walked up and told Liz they should leave Bo alone since he was working. Liz agreed but invited Bo to attend her opening at the Can-Can Cabaret. Bo met up with Hope and told her they had to be more careful in the future. They agreed to find the carriage and get out of there. As they left, a mysterious man wearing a black glove on three of his fingers was watching them and began to follow them. Later, Bo and Hope got off the carriage and she asked when they could see each other alone again. Bo told her he didn’t know, but that they’d have to be careful. She told him that she would be joining Larry at the Hathaways’ house, and Bo said he’d act surprised to see her. They kissed, and Hope left. Bo thanked the horse, Jezebel, for reuniting him with Hope. Bo then left, and the mysterious man with the glove continued to follow him. Hope surprised Larry at the Hathaways’ house, and he was not happy to see her. He told her he ordered her to stay home, but she said she didn’t feel like listening to him. She insisted that she wanted to have fun, too. Bo and Megan entered the room, and Hope said in a Southern drawl, “Well, well, surprise, surprise,” said Hope. “It seems we all got caught under the same roof.” Megan did not look happy either.

Hope called Bo from downstairs and told him the coast was clear. She looked at the drawing of the two of them and said Bo’s name when the door opened. “It’s only me,” said Maxwell. Hope said she thought she heard Bo’s voice. Bo arrived and said he needed to meet with Max. Megan arrived and asked if Hope’s room was to her liking, because she could always find her another room. “I’m sure you could,” said Hope. Larry arrived and told Hope he’d be busy for a while. Bo suggested meeting with Maxwell and Megan in the study, and Hope offered to leave. Hope was told that it wasn’t necessary; it was only business. “You probably wouldn’t understand it,” Megan said. Hope decided to stay. Bo told Maxwell that a couple of prospective buyers had already been by. Max seemed anxious about that, and they told Bo that they weren’t looking to sell anything just yet. Nick Bartelli (later Corelli) called Maxwell to let him know they were in New Orleans and that delivery could be arranged at any time. Max was impressed. The meeting was concluded, they talked about attending Liz’s opening night, and everyone but Hope left. Gwen arrived and threw her purse down by Hope’s purse; the two purses looked similar. Hope suggested that Gwen might enjoy viewing the mansion; Gwen was interested but realized Hope was pushing her to leave the room. She went to freshen up, then returned for her purse. She picked up Hope’s purse and the sketch, but Hope took it away from her. Gwen left, and Hope wondered if Gwen saw the caricatures. She told Bo she needed some alone time with him, but Bo said it was too dangerous. Hope pulled Bo into a coat closet and started to kiss him. Meanwhile, Gwen returned to the room and was joined by Maxwell. He boldly asked her to spend the night with him. Gwen was trying to find a good way of saying no when Larry arrived and said the car was ready. Everyone left, and Bo and Hope started to exit the closet. Megan returned, and Bo shoved Hope back in the closet. She told him his tux was ready and suggested that they start the night early with some bubbly before leaving. Bo and Megan left the room, and Hope left the closet. “Oh, I’d like to pop something,” she said. “But it certainly isn’t the bubbly.”

Tom, Alice, and Blanche were having dinner at Blondie’s when Howie arrived. Alice told Howie that Tom was in on the “scam,” and Tom let Alice know he didn’t appreciate her detective talk. Howie had obtained the contents of Harold’s safe-deposit box and had a disk. Tom saw the disk and said it went into a 3000 Series 48 computer; he recognized the disk because the hospital now had computers. Alice chuckled at Tom, who suggested they could sneak into the hospital at night and use the computer. Howie said Eugene had a 3000 Series 48 and would be able to help them find out about the disk’s contents. Blanche agreed to let Howie keep everything except Harold’s diary. Howie figured it must have important information inside for it to be in the box, but Blanche said there was a special poem that Harold had written in it. Howie agreed to let her keep the diary, but he warned her to be careful in case someone might think it had other information in it. At the Can-Can Cabaret in New Orleans, Liz sang “Body and Soul” while Bo and Hope exchanged long looks. Gwen and Larry did the same, while Max lifted and kissed Gwen’s hand. One of Max’s associates arrived and told him that he had the second disk; as soon as it was put into the computer, they would know how to proceed. Maxwell said he still wanted to know what happened to the first disk, but his associate assured him that whoever was unfortunate enough to have the first disk was as good as dead. Tom and Howie were on their way to Eugene’s house as Tom looked at the disk. He said it was hard to believe that an ordinary computer disk could have caused Harold his life. Howie told Tom he believed that computer disk was anything but ordinary. Larry and Gwen had to leave with Maxwell for a meeting, and Megan talked about how meaningful Liz’s songs were to her. Hope was going to go home alone, and Bo said he didn’t think that was a good idea. Megan agreed and told Hope she knew what it was like being a mother-to-be. Back at the mansion, Bo said he was going to go to bed. Megan asked him to walk with her to her room, because she needed to discuss something with him for a few minutes. Bo said that was fine, if it was only for a few minutes. The two left, and Hope said to herself that Bo was going to be up for longer than a few minutes because she had big plans for the two of them. Maxwell opened a door that led to a secret computer. He inserted the disk, and a message appeared on the screen: “Three prisms to rule. Three prisms for power. The numbers will direct you.” Maxwell wrote the message down and said to himself, “That makes perfect sense.” Meanwhile, Tom and Howie saw the same message on Eugene’s computer screen. The two didn’t understand, but Howie suggested it was some kind of code. He said what they needed were Eugene and some of his psychic visions. He started calling for Eugene. Bo and Megan went up to his room, and she turned on some music. She told Bo she just wanted to spend some alone time with him. Hope wandered around outside on the balcony and ran into something. Megan wondered what the noise was, and Bo said it was probably a cat. Maxwell heard the noise and called someone. Hope continued walking in the dark and then accidentally fell over the balcony railing.

Marlena told Roman she had a craving for a peanut-butter and pickle sandwich, so he took her to Blondie’s. When they got there, she changed her mind and said she only wanted warm milk. Roman told her he could have served her that at home. Marlena then said she wanted a peanut-butter and hot-fudge sandwich. She asked Dave to tell that to the chef, but Dave said he wouldn’t like it. Roman told him to tell the chef it was “for Lieutenant Brady’s wife.” Dave said he would, and Roman warned Marlena that his reputation was on the line if she turned chicken and didn’t eat the sandwich. When the sandwich arrived, Roman agreed to eat half of it if Marlena did. His pager went off, and he had to go use the phone. Dave walked by, and Marlena asked him to take away half of the sandwich. Don stopped by the table and wondered what Marlena was doing. She told him she was teaching her husband a lesson. Don told Marlena that he still cared about her and that he knew how much this baby meant to her. Roman returned and accused Marlena of not eating the sandwich; he needed to go to headquarters and thought she was going to make him eat it. She told him he didn’t have to eat his half, but not to call her a chicken again.

The maid went to Bo’s room and wanted to check on the noise. Bo lied that he smelled smoke and sent Megan and the maid off to look for fire. He locked his door, then went out on the balcony to find Hope dangling over the edge. The balcony was about to break when Bo pulled Hope to safety. He asked her what she was doing out there, and she said it was the only way to get to his room without being seen. Bo told her to be more careful, and they kissed. Megan returned and found Bo’s door locked. Hope hid under the bed, and Bo opened the door. Megan was suspicious of Bo since no one else smelled smoke, but Bo said he was probably becoming paranoid because of the security job. He suggested that they take a walk outside, and they left. Maxwell met with his associate, who was unhappy. Maxwell was happy that they had instructions and now knew which prism they had to protect. His associate reminded him that someone else had the original disk, but Maxwell said the person would not be able to decode it. His associate told him that any code could be broken, and Max said it would take that person a long time. He said that protecting the prism should be Bo’s job and that he was ready to make the assignment. The associate told Max that he was moving too fast. He suggested that Bo should be tested first. Maxwell said that he believed Bo would be loyal and that he had already begun to realize that the art show was not just for art lovers. he said that, when given the word, he believed Bo would kill for them. Megan was driving Bo around New Orleans when Max called on the car phone. He wanted Bo to meet him at the cabaret. Megan told Bo she would drive him, but Bo said he had to go to the house first. “Did you forget something?” she asked. “I sure did,” he said. Hope was ready to leave Bo’s room when the maid arrived; Hope ran outside on the balcony and hid until the maid left. Hope returned to the room, dimmed the lights, turned on some music, and lay down on the bed. Bo returned and found Hope there. She pulled him onto the bed with her and told him to make love to her. Bo reminded her what happened to him before, how he ended up in intensive care. He asked her to give him a couple of more days to get to the bottom of things. The two kissed again.

Bo sent Hope back to her room, then ran into Megan in the hallway. She wanted to drive him to the meeting with Maxwell, but Bo told her it was a private meeting because Max had an assignment for him. Megan’s expression turned serious and she wished Bo good luck. He asked if he was going to need it, and she told Bo that she believed if things went well at the meeting, it could be the beginning of something very wonderful for the two of them. Bo told Megan he would see her later and left. “Not too much later,” said Megan, smiling. She walked off as Hope stuck her head out the door and glared at Megan. Nick met with Maxwell and told him there was a problem. He had gotten Diane’s 4-year-old son for the Hathaways to pass off as Megan and Bo’s child, but now Diane was in New Orleans because she had changed her mind about letting Nick help find a home for her son. Maxwell told Nick to keep Diane occupied while he figured out what to do. He told Nick to leave before Bo saw him. Bo showed up for the meeting and asked what Max wanted him to do. Megan was about to leave in her car when Hope climbed into the passenger seat. Megan asked what Hope was doing, and she said she wanted to know what Megan was doing. Megan said she just wanted to go for a drive. “Great. Where are we going?” asked Hope. She suggested that Megan take her to a hot club or to see some sights. Megan then told her she was too tired and left Hope in the car. Bo took a call from Eugene, who gave him the disk’s message about the prisms. He told Bo he was working to crack the code so they would know which numbers the message was referring to. Bo returned to the table and was joined by the associate, Jonathan Carlton. Bo asked what was going down. “Quite possibly your life,” said Maxwell, “if you don’t cooperate.” They asked what Bo knew about their organization and told him to be completely up front. Bo said he believed the Hathaway banks were fronts for illegal activities and that the art show was for purposes other than pleasing art lovers. Maxwell agreed and complimented Bo on his intelligence. He told him that he was part of a large group of powerful people, and that Bo would be told more about the group once he completed a test assignment. However, he told Bo that if he did not complete the assignment, he would be eliminated. Bo asked, “What do I have to do, kill somebody?” “Yes,” said Maxwell. “Her,” said Jonathan, pointing. Bo turned around was stunned to see Diane sitting across the room.

Kimberly ran into Don at Blondie’s and was talking to him when Tony walked in, accusing her of cutting him off in the parking lot and stealing his parking space. Don excused himself when Tess needed to talk, and Kim and Tony continued to spar. Later, they joined Alex and Anna. It was obvious that Kimberly and Anna didn’t like each other, but Anna suggested that Kim drop by her place to discuss the possibility of photographing some of her designs for a fashion magazine. Alex asked Anna if she was hoping to get Kimberly’s services for free. Kimberly enjoyed talking and laughing with Alex and wondered if he was romantically interested in Anna. Tony and Kimberly continued to spar verbally, then got up to dance.

Hope called Bo, who didn’t come home all night. He told her he was on his way. The mystery man with the gloved hand was following Bo. Hope ran into Megan, and the two exchanged catty remarks with each other. Megan went upstairs, and Bo arrived. He told Hope something had happened that could change their plans and even their lives. Bo told Hope that Maxwell had ordered him to kill someone. If Bo followed through with the plan, he would be “in” the organization; if he failed to do so, he could be eliminated. Hope worried about Bo’s safety, and Bo told Hope she needed to be ready to run. As the two hugged, the mystery man with the gloved hand spied on the house from outside. Megan returned downstairs and asked Bo to be there for Larry’s party that night. Bo said he would be busy at the exhibition hall, but Megan pleaded with him to be her date. Larry arrived, and Hope talked about how fun they were all going to have being around all those politicians. Bo went to work, and Megan went to take a bath. Larry reminded Hope that she needed to be careful wearing her feelings for Bo on her sleeve, but Hope was ticked that Megan was practically stalking Bo. Larry also reminded Hope that she’d better keep her mouth shut at the party and not say anything embarrassing. When Larry left the room, Hope muttered about her husband, “I don’t like him. I really don’t like him.”

At Maggie’s house, Alice and Eugene flipped through the pages of a thesaurus to try and crack the disk code. Eugene had to leave but told Alice to keep trying. Melissa and Eugene left together as Don arrived. He told Alice he heard about her friend, Blanche, who was just killed in a hit-and-run “accident.” Alice left the room, and Maggie talked to Don. She had invited Mickey to come over per Don’s request. Mickey arrived, and Don asked for some privacy with Mickey. Maggie left, and Don accused Mickey of “telling some very large lies.” At the political party in New Orleans, Hope was asked by a reporter what kind of books Larry read. She said he didn’t like books but enjoyed magazines, especially the kind with naked women in them. He asked if Larry watched television, and Hope said he loved television – especially the cartoons and sometimes the “new westerns” with half-naked women in them. Gwen and Larry overheard Hope, and Larry said Maxwell was going to have a coronary. Gwen told Larry she saw a drawing that was a caricature of Bo and Hope, and she wondered if they were meeting secretly. Larry wasn’t sure, especially since Bo could be killed, but he reminded Gwen that he himself was willing to take great risks to have what he wanted, too.

Melissa went to the fishing shack to look for Pete, but she found Speed instead. Speed said Pete was at work. When Melissa asked where he was working, Speed didn’t answer. He told her that she should stay away from Pete. He said their breakup was for the best and Pete could eventually end up dead if he stayed with her. Melissa said that wasn’t true and blamed Speed for Pete’s involvement in the gang war. Pete complained to his boss, Sam, about having to wear a tie but no shirt. A customer hit on Pete and ran her hand up his arm, which he didn’t care for. Sam told Pete to let the customers touch his muscles, because it meant good business and good tips. Don confronted Mickey about the shooting and suggested that Mickey made a deal with Melissa to keep Pete from going to jail. Mickey denied knowing who shot him and refused to talk about Pete. While they were arguing, Melissa got home and listened. After a few minutes, she left again. Don reminded Mickey that he was once his best friend, and he said he was concerned this might hurt Mickey’s career if it ever got out. Don kept calling Mickey “Mick,” and Mickey reminded Don that he was the first person to ever call him that. He said it was good to hear it again. Melissa went back to the fishing shack and begged Speed to tell her where Pete worked, because she was worried about him going back to jail. Speed wouldn’t tell her where Pete was working, but he said Pete would be back soon. Melissa waited and rushed into Pete’s arms when he arrived. She told him about Don and Mickey’s conversation and worried he could go to jail. She regretted making the deal with Mickey and said she was lying to Mickey when seeing Pete, but lying to herself and Pete when thinking she could go on without him. She suggested that they had to see each other and said she could find time with him at his new job. Pete said no.

Liz, Neil and Carlo in New Orleans
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESzsoIuNecw

Carlo gave Liz flowers after her opening night at the cabaret in New Orleans. Liz became aggravated when a secret admirer kept sending her notes and let her know he was in the suite next to hers. She and Carlo went to her room and found a sign on the adjoining suite door inviting her to come in. Liz was pleasantly surprised to open the door and meet her admirer . . . Neil!

Thanks DrChip. I really look forward to the videos each week. Loved the one of Marlena and Roman with the peanut butter and chocolate fudge sandwich. It was just so funny. I also enjoyed the part of Liz and Neil reunited.

Megan wanted to talk with Maxwell about Bo, but he warned her that Bo would have to be eliminated if he didn’t accept the assignment to prove his loyalty. Megan worried for Bo’s safety. Bo finally arrived and was ashen-faced. Maxwell’s associate nodded that Bo completed the job, and Maxwell proposed a toast. Megan was excited, knowing that Bo would be safe and could be in a relationship with her. Hope worried about what Bo went through to pass the test. Bo went out to the car to retrieve his briefcase and motioned for Hope to join him. Megan took some digs at Hope’s happy marriage and pregnancy, and Hope just smiled and returned the snarky comments. Megan went upstairs, and Hope went out to Bo’s car. The two drove away so they could talk. Hope was worried about Bo. They saw some headlights, and Bo got a little jumpy. He told Hope he wasn’t ready for any surprises right now. “Oh, well, that’s too bad,” said Alice, popping up from the back seat, “because I was just planning mine.” Bo and Hope were shocked to find Alice in Bo’s car. “How are you two?” she asked. “I’ve been worried.” Bo told Hope to keep her head down so nobody could see her, and he asked Alice if she was sure she wasn’t followed. “After all you’ve taught me?” she asked. She explained that no one knew where she was because everyone thought she was in Florida with Tom. She said that Blanche read Harold’s diary and learned about a piece of art, Hacker # 4, that included a disk. Harold had taken the disk and tried to decode it. Alice said Howie and Eugene were working to crack the code, since Blanche told her what was written in the diary. However, Alice revealed that Blanche was murdered by a hit-and-run driver who took the diary. Bo reminded the ladies that New Orleans was a dangerous place to be, and he said Alice needed a cover story. She would join them for dinner and announce that she was there to look after Hope, who wasn’t feeling well. Bo told Hope and Alice that he loved both of them and to be careful.

Bo told Hope that he was ordered to kill Diane. He said that Blanche wasn’t the only one who was murdered; Diane was dead, too. Bo said he didn’t kill her, but everyone thought he did and wanted to give him a medal. Maxwell arrived and told Bo he wanted to honor him with a celebration party with some “personal friends” who were almost like family. Alice joined Larry and Hope for dinner. Larry asked Hope if she’d like to dance, and Hope flatly refused. Maxwell invited Bo to an empty room, and suddenly several men showed up. Maxwell introduced them as “the family,” and they took turns shaking Bo’s hand and welcoming him to the cartel. Maxwell told Bo that he was a member of the cartel now and, hopefully, would soon become a member of his immediate family as well.
