Beyond Salem 2 summaries and comments

Thursday’s episode when Hope is reunited with Bo and Zack has been the only part of this Beyond Salem worthwhile watching. Peter Reckell is by far the best actor amongst all the ones in the series. So I’m glad I was able to see him as Bo once again. However, the writing and story are poor quality. The actor playing Andrew Donovan seems to be more experienced and natural in front of the camera. And it has been good to see Paul return.

The sets and wardrobe were very nice. And the transitions from city to city with the outdoors video footage are great.

Perhaps to the younger viewers, it is all just new, different, & they have no idea it is based on long past story. Me, I cannot get the show, and don't even begin to understand the comments & conversation about whatever is happening. I hate that it is shown in the a.m. as it gets confusing with regular show.......but.....just me. (they used to do Beyond in evening)

I think think there is chemistry between Paul and Andrew Donovan and would like to see them both appear on Days. Shin's sister is quite the little dynamo, even Gabi likes her. Perhaps another character to bring over to Days.

Perhaps Hope will go over to the other side, through the white light, reunite with Bo for a few minutes, and then he tells her it is not her time, to go back, she has more work to do.

Only two more episodes to go.

older plot lines without much explanation favors people who’ve watched for at least 30 years. That’s a certain demographic. Is that who’s streaming? I’m that old, but I see complaints from a lot of older viewers that they don’t want to pay, can’t stream, don’t have reliable internet, don’t have streaming devices or want to watch on their phone,
You hit the nail on the head, in my opinion, I'm also that old, but less averse to streaming than folks in my demo (and older, who really were more active watchers when I was a child).

So they're playing to an audience that doesn't care about these characters, so the panders to history fall flat.

I can see using Beyond Salem as a way to try characters out. And I agree Shins’s sister and some of the other young people could infuse some energy into the show. It used to be you’d get a bunch of younger storylines in the summer when kids were on vacation.

I think the shows drop in the morning or at midnight, which is normal for streaming. That way, people can watch as soon as they want. I watch Gilded Age and it drives me crazy when they don’t air until 9 pm in the release day.

Actually, what I meant was, that because they stream the show in the a.m., there are commentsr posted about it later, just as regular Days is coming on and thus gets confusing, both to those who are able to watch both, and those who only see regular Days. When they waited til after 6 p.m. Central to show it, Regular Days was over, so it just was easier.

Ciara gets up from Hope’s dead body, her girls are in full display.

John and Steve wonders why the girls are there.
I know you didn't plan it this way, but these 2 sentences together are funny! :rotfl:

“Tonight, I celebrate my love for you” is played by Angela for Bo and Hope’s last dance.
Whoa, they ponied up some bucks to use that song. Beyond Salem must have a much bigger budget than Days.

I would like to see Bo and Hope, but this all sounds so crazy. Makes me dizzy just reading it.

The scenes with Bo and Hope and Zack today were really good. The chemistry between Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso is still so natural and beautiful to watch. And when Hope kept asking to see Zack I kept going back to the hospital scene when Lexie gave Hope and Bo the news that Zack had died. It was a very real maternal love and excitement that you would expect Hope to show. Just these 10 minutes or so were worth the $4.99 for the streaming. Maybe these scenes will be available on Youtube so you can watch the Bo and Hope reunion and Hope and Zack reunion.

The rest of it- I'd skip. The current show and writers have not written a good love story in a very long time (the last one I would say would be Will and Sonny about 10 years ago). The younger actors (for the most part) are not good actors and they, honestly, do not have good writers to give them meaty material to work with....like the Bo and Hope from the 1980's did. So I am not invested in the younger crowd. Some potential I can see with Paul and Andrew, however I don't think either character will be moving to the regular show. I think they are just on Beyond Salem 2.

Thanks, robin.

I wonder how much they paid to pay "Tonight I'll Celebrate my Love for You" since they can't play popular songs on the
regular show. I teared up when they were dancing.

It's too bad we can't rewind our lives when things go bad like angel Angela did after Ciara got shot.

I hope Hope remembers some of her time in heaven.

It didn't take much to turn John and Steve into robots to follow Megan's instructions.

It will be interesting to see if Megan gets all the prisms on tomorrow's show.
