Days of Our Lives - Friday, May 23rd, 2008
Lexie sits in the hospital locker room with Daniel, talking of being tired, and then mentioning her problems at home. She & Abe just never agree on anything, even finances, and especially how to treat Theo. He has not been speaking, yes, she has him seeing a speech therapist, who has recommended an evaluation by a child psychologist. She has not told Abe, he thinks she hovers. Daniel suggests she go ahead, if the report is good, all is well. If not.......then they have a head start. She thanks him, and now is out at work. Later Abe arrives and wants to spend time with Lexie, suggesting breakfast. Lexie starts to put him off saying that she is busy, they argue about making time for each other, (she points out how he barely had time for her at the cop shop when she brought him lunch) but in the end agrees to have breakfast with him.
At the pub Chelsea and Morgan are studying for finals. Philip comes and talks with Morgan. they kibitz a bit, her dad calls. Philip makes some remark, she is angry about problems with her Dad. Philip says he broke the law and would have to pay. John arrives and says that will never happen. Philip tells him to butt out, as Morgan chastises him for listening to other people's private conversations. John leaves. Morgan rejoins Chelsea.
Back at the mansion, Marlena brings in a breakfast tray to Sami, who isn't hungry. She wonders if Lucas ever forgive her. We have a very emotional mother/daughter talk now, as Marlena says that it is hard to tell and that she needs to talk with Lucas. Sami tries to make excuses, Marlena tells her not to try and put the blame for this on Lucas, to take responsibility herself for what she did. Sami says that she can not face Lucas, all she sees in his face is anger, disappointment and betrayal. But if only he had called, it never would have happened. Again Marlena tells her that she cannot put this onto Lucas. Sami claims he was going to be in prison forever, leave Allie without a father and EJ was so good with the twins, it would have been easier if EJ was a bad father, but he wasn't.
Meanwhile, downstairs, EJ has joined Lucas who is sitting with Allie and they talk of the situation. EJ chides him about the excitement last night, seems someone tried to leave and the cops had to come. Now he suggests since they all have to live together, they do it civilized. Lucas suggests he move out....which does not set well with Sami & Marlena who just walked in. Lucas sort of makes fun of EJ's accent as he repeats the "civilized" comment, and tells him a British accent doesn't make him civilized. EJ says no, but actions do. Marlena tells them to stop....she picks up Allie, saying the twins need a healthy environment as she takes Allie for a nap. EJ asks Lucas what he is going to tell the twins about the monitor as they are growing so quickly and will soon ask (LOL) Lucas says not to worry. Rolf brings a gift of a bottle of wine with a note from Nicole thanking him for last night. She flies off the handle, EJ says it was only a business dinner, she is a client. Sami isn't buying it, calling Nicole names. Lucas decides to leave them to their bicker, she calls him back. He just remarks they are in love, Sami says no, he reminds her she had sex with him, EJ pops up with "we made love, and Samantha enjoyed it as much as me. Sami says, no, then yes, then "he didn't force me". Lucas tells them both he will get a judge to make different arrangements, and he will be living and taking his daughter with him. EJ tells him that Sami has been a good mother and has done a good job while Lucas was gone. Lucas thanks Sami taking care of the twins, for being good with them, and then thanks her for sleeping with EJ, for sleeping with the man he hates the most, and finally, thank you very much for sleeping with a DiMera. He leaves.
Back at the pub Chelsea and Morgan are talking about Dr Dan. Chelsea admits she does not know what is going on with Dr Dan. Philip comes back to talk with Morgan privately, telling her he will get the DA to go easy on her dad if he will give him what he knows about John.
Lexie and Abe enjoyed breakfast and agree they should do it once a week. They start to talk about Theo, but Abe gets a phone call from the station. As he talks on his cell, Dr. Dan talks to Lexie about her problems. Abe gets off the phone, Dan leaves, and Lexie decides to talk about Theo another time. Abe asked about Dr Dan and is angry that Lexie spoke to him about their problems. She is sorry, and wants to know why he is so upset. Thru clenched teeth he tells her it is because he doesn't know her anymore.
Roman arrives at John's to investigate the theft of the disc. Marlena and Roman agree that no one should know about this. Marlena has to leave, but returns later with John, who is not happy about Roman being there, he did not want cops. She reminds him roman is only doing this as a friend, but John barely gets out.......he is your EX!
Chloe arrives at Pub, joining Philip and Morgan, asking how they met etc. She spots Morgan's text books, cooing about Philip trolling the campus for college freshman. Philip hustles her away.
Dr Dan is now at the pub sits with Chelsea and Morgan. Morgan leaves for her internship, & Daniel tells Chelsea if she has something to say say it. He then goes on to tell her that he only cares for her as a friend. She says she needs someone who loves her 100% and that was Nick, but she left him so she could be with Dr Dan. Dr Dan says he is sorry for that.
As Chloe begins to go out....she bumps into EJ, who invites her to have a coffee. She accepts, they sit down. Philip makes a call , asking if it is done yet.
Sami is in her room crying, fingering the wedding ring that Lucas gave her, and Rolf brings her warm milk, it is relaxing. She thinks it tastes disgusting, he offers to add a bit of whiskey from his flask to it. (Hmmm, wonder if Nicole dropped hers there, lol) but she says no, still morning. She asks him if he has ever done anything so bad that he regretted it while he was doing it. He replies ...look at who you are asking ....more time then I can count. She asks how he can live with himself. He tells her the past is gone, but one can control the future. She says she wants to see Lucas, who walks in at that time. Sami apologizes to Lucas and takes the blame for what happened. She is sorry for yelling, sorry for blaming him, sorry for what happened, she regrets it, wishes it never happened, is sorry. Lucas tells her that he stayed awake every night in prison because all he could think about was this....... and he kisses her.
Marlena wants to go and check on Sami, but John tells her to knock first, that she is most likely entertaining. Roman comes in.....John does not want him there, and is really about to bodily escort him out.....but Marlena talks to him, getting John to agree to let Roman help.
Back at the pub. everyone hears sirens, Chloe notes Police cars are arriving at the dock. Roman gets a phone call, hangs up, saying there is a problem down on the docks with John's shipment.
