Back at home this week after some serious unpleasantness in the basement of Titan TV headquarters are that popular reporter the long-suffering Nicole Walker, and ex-priest and former sex-tape star Eric Brady. Their quick recoveries at our own Salem University Hospital were facilitated by the expert nursing staff led by the always popular and blunt-spoken Maxine Landis and the brilliance of medical jack-of-all-trades Dr. Daniel Jonas. Reportedly, Ms. Walker will now resume her pursuit of true love, while Mr. Brady is expected to continue his sometime career as a photographer and all-around Town Square grinch.

Salem's brilliant social scene today included a visit by distinguished international businessman Stefano DiMera to his fellow billionaire, the always wise Titan mogul Victor Kiriakis. We can only guess about their topics of conversation, but we are confident that it included talk about their beloved families, assorted business opportunities, the relative merits of their highly-professional service staffs, fine wines and spirits, the best tailors in London, and most importantly, the welfare of Salem. Whatever the details of what they discussed, it can only be good news for our beloved city when two of its oldest, most respected figures put their heads together.

The highlight of the day was the Summer Picnic, held at the lake, and attended by many of Salem's exemplary citizens. Salem police detective Hope Brady, brought her daughter Ciara, who is determined to become a baseball umpire, with both being accompanied by former Detective, & current Club manager, Rafe Hernandez, Cub fan extroardinaire, who was happy to give Ciara a few pointers in regards to being an umpire.
Sonix head writer Will Horton, his husband, ClubTBD owner, Sonny Kiriakis brought their daught Ari to join in the fun. Also on the scene was former ball player Paul Narita, with tennis partner, Derrick, who both made a point of cooling off with a swim in the beautiful Salem Lake.Blankets & picnic baskets were everywhere, as Salemites enjoyed the warm temps, the cooling waters, the beautiful view.

Once again, a Salem family is taking the lead in charitable causes. Word has it that DiMera Enterprises will be significantly boosting the number of full college-medical school scholarships for deserving students. Hopefully, many of these brilliant young minds will someday be joining forces at University Hospital with able chief of staff, Dr. Kayla Johnson, and miracle surgeon and leading romantic, Dr. Daniel Jonas. Society certainly owes a debt of gratitude to philanthropist and humanitiarian Stefano DiMera and his caring, handsome son, Chad, for their remarkable generosity. All Salemites should be very proud that these fine DiMera men choose to make our city their home.

Those who visited beautiful Salem Park today would have seen Chad DiMera once again demonstrating his family's famous versatility. The brilliant young businessman more than held his own in a rugged basketball game whose athletic cast included: Sonny Kiriakis and Will Horton, the personable Club TBD owners; baseball superstar and rumored home-wrecker Paul Narita, muscular Club Victor hothead Ben Weston; and the group oldster, former FBI agent, Salem P.D. detective, coma victim, and Kate Roberts paramour Rafael Hernandez. It is certainly impressive that the handsome Mr. DiMera does not restrict himself to the rarified world of big business, and is eager to join the real people of Salem in their wholesome, everyday activities. I'm sure that all Salemites would agree that Mr. DiMera would be a fine catch for any young woman lucky enough to catch his eye.

True love has once again prevailed in Salem. Those in the know are buzzing today because University Hospital wonder-surgeon Dr. Daniel Jonas has presented an exquisite engagement ring to ace Titan TV reporter Ms. Nicole Walker. According to witnesses, Ms. Walker was so thrilled that she couldn't eat at the fancy restaurant where they were and instead rushed back to the apartment that the couple now shares. Dedicated physician that he is, Dr. Jonas went immediately to the hospital where he impressed one and all with his new, well-groomed look. Dr. Jonas's previous marriage to Chloe Lane Black, the torch singer, adulteress, and rumored tormentor of a young Philip Kiriakis, ended in divorce. Similarly, Ms. Walker's marriage to Salem's disgraced mayor and reputed drug king-pin, the late Elvis J. DiMera, also ended in divorce. Despite the high rate of failed marriages that plagues our city, this reporter is certain that the love shared by Dr. Jonas and Ms. Walker will be everlasting:love: .

[As reported on another thread, John Aniston (Victor) is celebrating his 82nd birthday. Naturally, this important event was reported in the Salem Spectator society page.]

It was a festive event at the Kiriakis mansion today as beloved Titan mogul, Victor Kiriakis, celebrated his 82nd birthday. Hosting the happy party was his beloved wife, busybody, and super cookie-baker, Maggie. Guests included grandson Brady Black the famous no-show CEO; wonder-surgeon Dr. Daniel Jonas and his new fiancee, the attractive Nicole Walker, one of Mr. Kiriakis's many ex-wives who is rumored to have once tried to poison him; Jeannie Theresa Donovan, the mother of Mr. Kiriakis's great-grandson, and alleged schemer extraordinaire; and of course great-grandson Tate "Tater Tot" Black, who recently set a record for being Salem's youngest-ever kidnapping victim. I'm sure all Salemites wish Mr. Kiriakis many more happy birthdays, a sentiment that they probably would not express with regard to Salem's other leading senior citizen, Stefano DiMera.

Informed Salemites were buzzing today over the news that Titan CEO Brady Black has finally selected a qualified nanny for his beloved baby, Master Tate "Tater Tot" Black. The lucky person selected was Nanny Emma, who is rumored to have been recommended by Mary Poppins herself. Nanny Emma was reportedly selected in preference to a long list of highly-qualified candidates, including the well-known Nanny Megan, one of Salem's leading experts on chewing gum and pork rinds. I'm sure all Salemites will join me in congratulating Nanny Emma for her selection and wish her many years of happiness with the adorable Tater Tot and his loving family, including his mother, Ms. Jeannie Theresa Donovan, a no-show University Hospital employee who reportedly has terrible taste in men.

Among Salem's interesting visitors this week is Ms. Chloe Lane Black, the former torch singer and Quinn Hudson party girl. As informed Salemites know, Ms. Lane has been sharing custody of her train-obsessed little son, the adorable Parker, with his father, medical miracle worker Dr. Daniel Jonas. Ms. Black has not commented on the reason for her visit, but it's a safe bet that she's here to congratulate Dr. Jonas on his engagement to the personable Titan TV reporter, Ms. Nicole Walker, and to express her pleasure that the always-pleasant Ms. Walker will now be sharing quality time with her son while he's residing with his father.

Salemites who were visiting University Hospital today were shocked and saddened to learn that alleged professional schemer Ms. Jeannie Theresa Donovan, the mother of one of Salem's most adorable babies, Master Tate "Tater Tot" Black, had suffered a severe ankle injury. She was immediately taken to the hospital's ER, where she was placed in a cast by the brilliant Dr. Lee. Everyone will be pleased to learn that Ms. Donovan has now returned home to the plush Kiriakis mansion, where she will be ably assisted in caring for Tater Tot by the child's doting father, brilliant CEO Brady Black; Salem's own Mary Poppins, the kindly Nanny Emma; and Salem's butler of the year for the past decade, the devoted Henderson. We applaud the painfully-injured Ms. Donovan's selfless devotion to her child and express the hope that the other mothers of Salem can meet the high standards of mothering, which she sets.

Once again, a Salemite has made an exciting career switch. Previously, it was the distinguished Basic Black CEO, John Black, joining the Salem P.D. to help rid our beloved city of the current drug plague. Now, it's noted businessman, philanthropist, and rumored diamond smugger, Alexandros "Xander" Cook who's making the big move. Like many nature-lovers in the past, Mr. Cook is trading his suit and tie for an opportunity to get closer to the earth. Mr. Cook's loving uncle, Victor Kiriakis, the Titan mogul, has kindly offered to give his beloved nephew a start in professional gardening by giving him a position working on the beautiful grounds at the Kiriakis mansion. To show his determination to really immerse himself in his new career, Mr. Cook will be residing in the mansion tool shed. We wish Mr. Cook all the best in his new occupation and expect to hear great things from him in the future.

Once again the best interests of the child have prevailed in Salem. The Spectator has just received a report from inside sources that the mother of the adorable Master Tate "Tater Tot" Black, Ms. Jeannie Theresa Donovan, the hardworking University Hospital administrator and alleged accomplished liar will continue to live with her child at the Kiriakis mansion despite her estrangement from the baby's father, Mr. Brady Black, the brilliant Titan CEO and former alcoholic/drug addict. This means that in addition to both his adoring parents, Master Black will enjoy the attentions of his loving great-grandparents, Victor and Maggie Kiriakis, and distant cousin, aspiring gardener Alexandros "Xander" Cook. If only more Salemites would follow Ms. Donovan's fine example. In recent years, too many parents have dumped their children on grandparents or thoughtlessly engaged in sordid affairs without a thought about their offspring. We admire Ms. Donovan's selfless dedication to her child and expect that she will be a strong candidate for Salem's mother-of-the-year award when it is next awarded.

An accomplished Salemite is on the move. It's Sonny Kiriakis, the brilliant and personable owner of Salem's popular Club TBD. Mr. Kiriakis is off to Paris to apply his skills to the nightclub operations of his uncle, Mr. Victor Kiriakis, the popular Titan mogul. Bidding a fond farewell to Mr. Kiriakis are his cheating husband, known conniver and professional liar, Will Horton; his darling little daughter Arianna, whose mother is currently imprisoned for murder; his business partner, the accomplished businessman and romeo, Chad DiMera; and his thoroughly-estranged parents, Mr. Justin Kiriakis and Ms. Adrienne Kiriakis, who reportedly have recently cheated on each other. We wish Mr. Kiriakis well in his new career move like all Salemites look forward to hearing about his Parisian adventures when he returns.

Once again, a Salemite is movin' on up. This time, it's the brilliant leader of Basic Black, John Black himself, who recently took a break from business affairs and joined the Salem P.D. to aid in the battle against the drug plague that is currently afflicting our beloved city. Now, Mr. Black is taking his talents to a wider stage by joining the fabled ISA, whose most recent local exploits included arresting EJ DiMera for the murder of his still-alive father and having a "safe-house" blown up by persons unknown. We fully expect that Mr. Black will soon lift the ISA out of its current doldrums, and will catch so many international evil-doers that James Bond will turn green with envy.

STALKER TO WED CHRONIC LIAR
Salemites in the know are buzzing this week over the engagement of Ms. Abigail Deveraux to Mr. Ben Weston. Ms. Deveraux, a dedicated hospital administrator who sometimes actually does some work is well known for shading the truth or uttering whoppers that are so big that they'd make the Burger King jealous. Mr. Weston, the sometime bartender and Salem U. student is the son of Salem's rumored drug kingpin, Mr. Clyde Weston, has recently been seen lurking about the DiMera mansion when his fiancee was visiting handsome business whiz Chad DiMera. Details about the wedding are a bit sparse ranging from an elopement to a lavish ceremony at St. Luke's. Keep watching this column for further exciting details.

COMINGS AND GOINGS
Returning to Salem this week after a long absence is our city's own swashbuckling adventurer, Mr. Steve "Patch" Johnson. Salemites will certainly recall one of Mr. Johnson's most dramatic exploits, kidnapping distinguished international businessman Mr. Stefano DiMera and forcing him to appear before the cameras of Titan TV. Welcoming Mr. Johnson back are a host of friends and family, most notably his ex-wife, brilliant physician Dr. Kayla Johnson, and his loving sister Adrienne who is rumored to be now having an affair with cosmetics king Lucas Horton, literally under her husband's nose. Departing our fair city under unfortunate circumstances is noted journalist Ms. Serena Mason, known to many as "Bluebird." Ms. Mason was found murdered in Salem Park and is now being mourned by a host of friends and co-workers, including sex-tape star, Mr. Eric Brady. We deplore Ms. Mason's untimely departure from this life, and are certain that our very own Salem P.D. will quickly solve this dastardly crime.
