I feel like they are trying to turn Gabi into some version of Kristen DiMera, because there is no other reason for her to be taking this so far. I am guessing her and Stefan will become a item when Chad and Abby reunite, and Stefan will save her from the backlash of all of her poor actions. I don’t think she will go to jail or leave town.

The spoilers say Gabi "contemplates" smothering Julie with a pillow but that look like more than just "contemplating". I'm thinking that last scene might just be inside her head imagining it. At least I hope so.

yES, it is JJ who comes along, thanking her for saving him from suicide last year. She thus decides murder is not the way to go. She leaves, but then runs into Abigail. Bet there are fireworks then!
