SPOILER !! Week Oct 17

It's just REALLY irritating that Kristen gets everything she wants, always!!! Just once I really want her to get her comeuppance. I want her served. Hardcore. Shutdown. Would be a good time for Stefano to come back, although none can really compare to Joseph Mascolo's portrayal, and set her straight that she needs to sit down and shut up about Brady. He's obviously doesn't want you. You can't make someone love you that doesn't want to, and it's beneath you to grovel.

I know Stefano tried to force Marlena, when she was his Queen of the night, and look where that got her, possessed the first time. Kristen needs to be taken down a peg, or two, from her high and mighty horse, and I don't think Stefano would be happy that she had sided against her brothers. She is sooooo smug, I just want either Chloe or Marlena, or pretty much anyone would smack that broad in the face. Heck let's just line up all of Salem and have a whack-a-thon on Kristen. She needs to be run out of town.

We need a new baddie, other than her, or Orpheus. Somebody that doesn't have it out for the Bradys, or the Hortons, just bad, in general, not manipulative bad, more scary bad like Victor, and Stefano, used to be, in the old days, and bring back the good music like from the 80's. Things were always better with the good music, instead the only music we seem to get now is the soft-core porn music, like they had for the threesome. (yuck :sick:)

Completely off topic, but I can hardly believe that Kimberly and Sydney, and some of these other never seen relatives wouldn't be there for Kayla, Marlena, and Kate, when they are on death's door. I know they mentioned Sami (phone Sami) a couple of times, but I'm sorry, the issues they mentioned with Sydney (for Sami), would have to take lower precedence to her mother being at death's door. Where's all of the Brady family loyalty?

Oh, Kristen needs a smackdown, for sure....nearly everyone feels the same about that. Too bad Rolf can't do the opposite with her, he can change personalities. Well, since the show films so far in advance, whatever we'd like to happen.....won't til maybe Spring. So, am going to hope that Kristen's blackmail of Brady will turn out bad for Kristen in the end. If she gets into Brady's turf.....meaning family, friends, etc. ....hope it all backfires, including a wake up call for Rachel.
 
Yes on the boarding school, where one of the major subjects would possibly be vandalism, theft, bullying, breaking and entering, holding people into cellars, and all around deliquency in order to train them for when they will be coming back to Salem. They could graduate in top quarter of their class in so many of the above subjects. Oh and of course, the valedictorian would be adding to that terrify the citizens of Salem. All would be done in the manner which will FINALLY get the attention of their parents.
 
I understand why they send them to boarding school. It's free babysitting for them.

It can't be the education because they do not really need one in Salem.

They do not have to learn a thing to get a CEO job or become a doctor or lawyer etc. for that matter.

They just say I am going to apply for said job and bingo boingo, it's theirs.
 
Johnny came to town, wanting to make a movie......remember, he had it on his phone or something. I believe he wanted to do Sami's life. He is a DiMera...do they work? EJ wanted him to come into the family business, but that was not for him. He spent some time being possessed by the devil, ended in a crypt....but overall, like all the Salemites, he lives off the air, or a trust, doesn't really make money. Spends it.
 
I know I keep harping on this bone but, why do the characters, that are not currently on canvas, not come around more often for the "major" events like the Kate, Marlena, and Kayla stuff?

If they are really planning on bringing Philip back (saw on another site, rumor only), then wouldn't his mom being on death's door be the right time to bring him back, even if it's just till she's out of the woods, like they did with Craig? Wouldn't Kayla's sister Kimberly come back, till Kayla is better? Or Billie, you'd think would be back, to be with Kate, and Sami would be there for Marlena, wouldn't they? I just don't get it. I know budgeting can be tight but you'd think at least cameo appearance would be in order. Rant over. :beat:

There was some notice that the show wasn't going to use chracters that did not want to sign a contract. (i.e. like those that only wanted to return for a month, or 6 wks., or 3 wks., etc. ) The actors wanted the freedom to pursue other acting opportunities, but it made it difficult for the writers.....
And as Just Samantha noted, budget is a big issue. The writers do a story, then later have to change,cut, reduce, etc. because an actor wants to do another gig, so won't be available for x amount of time. Thus it affects other cast, and a lot of crew.

At least they have been doing phone calls.
 
Phone calls are a start, but would a scene like this really be that hard? Especially if we're to believe that these great-grandmothers and serial vets are "dying" for totally real this time.

PUB: Roman comes down the stairs. Eric enters, scowling. Roman asks what's wrong. They talk about Marlena. Roman tells Eric that Kate's doing worse. He hates not being by her side. Eric scowls and asks why Roman's not with Kate now, then. Roman explains that Billie and Austin flew in and are up with her now. Kate wanted to see them alone, and he's learned not to ask questions with Kate and her kids.

PUB ROOM: Kate and Roman talk about her visit with her kids, who have gone to Statesville to visit Lucas.
