Stefano/Hope

It seems to me that Hope didn't say anything to Stefano about Ciara being grabbed but Stefano mentioned it and that is what proved he was the one who had Bo held and tortured.

After all these years, and all that has happened, Stefano's death boils down to Hope shooting him in his own home? Please! Stefano deserved a grand exit, and for me, this was not it. You would think after all the things Stefano has done, the writers would've come up with something more inventive, I mean there are many others who could've just walked in and shot him, including John, Marlena, Roman, or even Bo himself.

And come to think of it, Bo would've made more sense, especially since Bo was already dying, he could've had a showdown with Stefano and then shot him, and then Bo could've died at least knowing he ended Stefano's reign of torture on him and his family (of course that is if Bo's death itself was given more than 24 hours).

Now, if it turns out Stefano has some kind of master plan following his death, that will be the only thing that will salvage his lame murder. But it looks to me like they are more concerned with Rafe showing up, Hope admits she killed him, and him helping her move his body, in what can only be in attempt to help her cover up Stefano's murder. Is this going to be the basis for them becoming a couple? Also lame!

And this has always been my problem with Rafe, He's so adamant about following protocol, when it doesn't directly effect him, and the next minute throws all that out the window. I don't care how much he loves Hope, he is once again risking his career by covering up another crime, no matter whether Hope was justified in what she did, or not.

Lastly, I can't believe Andre was not around or that he would even leave the house and leaving Hope alone with Stefano. Not saying Andre did leave the house, but they made it seem that no one else was around while she shot him. Oh well, I guess I'll have to see how things unfold. I just hope like in life, that Stefano also has a master plan in his death.

While Stefano has been a great villain for years, I think his death is appropriate. Why should he have a big, grandiose death? He has had many of those over the years. And always was not dead. Struck by lightning, explosions, drowning, cave ins....etc. etc.
The more one thinks about it, the more it does seem Stefano was goading Hope into shooting him. He said the other day about being tired of it all, wanting it to end.

Yep, he just may have achieved what he wanted, a final blow to his vendetta with the Brady family.

Stefano deserves a fitting exit for many reasons. And while I could spend all day listing those reasons, for me, it boils down to the loyalty of the actor for all these years, and one who just didn't up and decide to leave, when it's his real life health determining his exit.

I think his type of character deserves a grandiose exit after all these years, especially when the writers have the ability to make it happen. It's what his true fans expect. It's just odd watching Hope shooting him in a rage when there has been countless other times, and other characters, who could've done exactly what she did.

But maybe it is fitting since Bo actually did die this time around, and maybe he did goad her into shooting him, but I can't imagine the mighty Stefano was just done though. It would be more appropriate if he made it happen so he could have the last laugh. It won't be fitting though unless he has set a master plan in motion to follow his death! That I could get behind if he can still effect their lives from the grave.

I loved Stefano even though he did awful things to people to get what he wanted. Joe Mascolo (Stefano) played the part so well he made me love to watch what was next. Did he get by with everything he did? Of course, this is a soap opera! I like the "bad boys and girls" in the soap and movie world. As I have said before, "The Godfather" movies are my favorites. I like the happy and fun love stories but I like a touch of evil to balance it out. I think he could have been given a much better ending, but that is just my opinion. :)

I would imagine that if Andre (or anyone) also shot at Stefano, even though Hope didn't know it, the gun would show a different sizing, the bullets would have their own track and everything could prove that the deadly shot was not hers. Let's hope so.

Problem is, Rafe and Hope cover up the crime, contaminating any such evidence.

That is what I meant about him goading Hope like that. Coward that Stefano is (remember, others always did his dirty work for him) he figured his one last brilliant move, the culmination of his vendetta against the Brady family. Bo is dead, so Hope is the target. Make sure she will spend the rest of her life in jail, or even get the death penalty herself.

Oh Poirot, you don't watch enough gangster movies. Stefano is not a coward he is smart. Never get your own hands dirty!:rotfl:

A Facebook group I'm in keeps mentioning that there were 2 hands seen at the end of Friday's episode. Did anyone else notice this? They seem convinced there was a 2nd shooter.

I just rewatched that scene on iTunes, and Hope is the only shooter in that scene. We see her fire the gun three times.

I understand she is the only one seen but some folks are speculating the gun close-up was not Hope's hand after the 1st shot

When TV shows/movies show close-ups of hands, feet, etc., they rarely use the actual actor. They use random backstage people. So if the hands holding the gun in the close-up don't match Kristian Alfonso (Hope), that's the reason.
