Stefano DiMera was one of the greatest soap characters of all time. As much as I hated Stefano, I loved to watch Joe on screen. I was hoping he'd reappear as a ghost or in newly created flashbacks.
My thoughts are with his on- and offscreen families.

Such sad news. Since he was battling Alzheimer's for a long time, it is truly remarkable that her continued to perform as well as he did, even to the end of Stefano's days. I always enjoyed watching him play the role.

I too was sad to hear of Joe Mascolo's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. There will never be another villain that blends suave and evil quite like Stefano!

Ryan was right on with that note.......Stefano truly did have the absolutely BEST laugh........the man was genius.
