Fan favorite William Utay returning to Days of Our Lives.

William Utay, who played the dastardly Dr. Wilhelm Rolf from 1997-2003 and 2007-2008, is returning to "Days of Our Lives" this fall. His return had been rumored in recent weeks with an audition script mentioning a doctor who can bring people back to life, audio heard of an actor named William being called to set, and a TV monitor photo posted of a balding man in a lab coat.

Through the years, Rolf has implanted a mind-controlling device into Vivian Alamain's tooth; helped change Hope into Princess Gina; performed plastic surgery on Hattie to make her look just like Marlena; brought some teenagers to Salem in a spaceship-like pod; and erased all of John's memories, among many other misdeeds.

Rolf supposedly died in 2003, but upon his return in 2007, when questioned how he came back from the dead, he simply stated "It didn't take." What craziness will he be up to this time around?
 
Well, color me one who is not wanting to see the all the dead returning to life. Not my cup of tea. I know I am repeating myself, but I could probably tolerate a "am really alive" from anyone whose body was not present for us to see, autopsied, drained of liquid, buried in a coffin. But those who died in plain view, with people sobbing over their bodies, which were brought to a morgue, etc. etc. NOPE.

That means no Will, EJ, Daniel, Serena, Paige.

It could mean Jack, Kristen perhaps.

I hated the stuff written by James Reilly, and this sounds like his macabre story telling. Now it could be another case of doppelganger, with those memory/personalities saved on discs, and programmed into the new bodies. :fan::beat::sick::tsk:
 
When Dr. Rolf returns what will he say for himself?

Chad, is my old lab still down in the basement or did you turn it into a wine cellar?

Tell John Black that I will most definitely not return to service as his butler.

I'm doing only one resurrection -- Pookie the dog. Based on what I've heard, the long-suffering Nicole Walker needs a break, and a friend.

Don't blame me for Andre coming back to life. That was some other unorthodox scientist. Honest.

Villainy in Salem just isn't what it used to be. Eduardo, Dario, and Deimos can't hold a handle to the master, Stefano DiMera.
