Actually I just dislike Dario. He was okay-ish for me when he early returned, even though the writers had forgotten he left as a business man, and made him a punk.. I could have understood him leaving corporate world to tend bar because of the less stress thing. but having him tied with with the disaster that was the Summer fiasco, getting rid of the body, all the lying. And then there was his undying hatred for his father with a sharp next day, "I love you daddy".

Dario was just poorly written and poorly thought out.
 
When Dario first came to Salem, played by another actor, he was a minor thief, stealing things to pawn, supposedly to raise money to hire a private eye to dig into the death of Arianna. Guess he thought his cop brother was not doing a thing. Melanie found him out, but did not squeal. Honestly, have no idea why he became the corporate exec. but he got sent off to Peru I think. ?? Yep, few years later, he showed up in CA, tending bar, different personality, but not the nasty, vicious, blackmailing man he is now.

Rafe has been punished by losing his FBI and Salem PD badges but hasn't gone to prison for his actions. Technically he was Hope's accomplice in Stefano's murder cover up and neither should be a cop at the moment. Even if Raines doesn't know the truth, they should both have issues with being cops after hat happened.

Paige was also a Hernandez and wasn't arrested to our knowledge.

Eduardo also mentioned another son who is a baseball player but we've never heard anything more about him.
 
I don't remember Eduardo talking of another baseball player son. What I do remember is Paul mentioning a fellow player whose father went to the same school Eduardo did, which is how Eduardo & John realized they were at the same school, and "chose" to be taken out for other training.
 
I don't believe that Paul's roommate actually was a son of Eduardo's; that was speculation on the board from spoilers, especially after Dario was re-cast (Dario returned in 2/2016 or so, while the Winterbourne junk was playing out in December '15, so we had news of Dario's return).

I can't confirm it one way or the other, and it's too late to try to dig through those old summaries...honestly a good writer could make it work either way. It was not stated openly; it was at best, implied.
 
I've heard rumors of Ben returning, Lt. Raines is Dario's accomplice, and GH alum Tyler Christopher is coming to Days.
 
I think Ben returning is a pretty solid rumor, especially with Chandler Massey (Will) and Dr. Rolf coming back too. When I met him back in May, he kept saying time will tell when people asked if he was coming back.

I sincerely hope Raines is NOT Dario's accomplice. I will be really disappointed if he is.

Tyler Christopher is also a rumor. I'm thinking he may have been up for something before the head writer change and that got squashed. He's been following a lot of Days social media for months now. I noticed Ali Sweeney (Sami) started following him on Twitter right around the time she returned back in May. So perhaps they finally found a role for him.

Just a thought, but I could see Tyler Christopher coming on as Nicholas Alamain. Especially since I heard the rumor that Vivian may be popping back up! Would love to see Louise Sorel (Vivian) back. She was one of my main reasons for watching in the 90s!

She was pretty angry at Corday when she left the last time. Whatever was told to her, promised her, etc. did not come to pass, and for Days, tons of rumors. There would not be such a huge amount of them if Days was not filming so far in advance, but the poor actors on Days are warned BIG TIME about letting a single thing slip out.

And now the rumors are mixing with facts and it is all becoming a huge mess. It is as if Halo2 was turned into a huge invisible gas which settles over Salem, making the citizens see things not there, etc. etc. FANTASY!!
