Days moving to Peacock Sept 12 pt 2

THAT is what is needed. However, there is NO mention of what you have to buy additionally, if you do not have a smart TV, an iPad, or whatever kind of cell phone that does all the tricks. Those are additional costs THAT put the whole Peacock idea out of reach for some folks.

So they honestly feel lower cut tops, men in short tight underwear, more exposed body in beds is what will bring tons of new viewers, and make long time ones happy?

Get a clue, Days. Even movies with the best actors around fail with bad writing, lousy story, etc. no matter how "racy".

If the mothers and grandmothers are no longer watching, where do the "new" viewers come from? You know, the ones who get hooked while watching with mom & dad, or Gramma & Granpa???

When I was doing the summary and watching with my mom last week, she mused that it was funny that she hooked me, since her mom hooked her. But her mom gave up the show, and so did she, when it went to international criminals. The sci-fi would have enraged my grandmother, but it just made my mom roll her eyes.

CBS is still so invested in Y&R and B&B that B&B recently went to Monaco to tape several episodes. Days can't even afford to tape in their own parking lot.
I was watching B&B for a while, those scenes in Monaco were beautiful. Stopped watching, couldn't take the whole Sheila mess anymore!

I don't mind spicier either, but feel the same as you about the writing, TinaY.

I also feel that since the show is so filled with flashbacks as padding - and that's how they use them, as evidenced by the times they don't use them when they should - why would making it longer be desirable? (Unless there will be fewer cut-out/omitted scenes from the Peacock show.)

Guess "spicier" doesn't perhaps mean the same thing to everyone. Corday used the word "titilating". I know some of what has gone by the censors makes some uncomfortable. I do not want to see tight revealing shorts on men not wearing a jock strap, or waists of garments just above the groin area. Same goes for Gabi and her tight figure hugging, cut to the navel dresses. Yep, some folks love it, I know. Others don't, which is why they refer to it as porn. And now they are to get racier. ???

Initially viewers were left with the impression that NBC SUDDENLY decided to boot Days over to Peacock, leaving the cast & crew scrambling. Evidently, that was not the case, unless, perhaps Days was under the impression the switcheroo would not happen til next year so they had plenty of time. But then, NBC could have suddenly decided, the heck with this, let's do it now!. Corday would not move towards improving the headwriting situation, so.....this is it.

But, we can GUESS all we want as to what, how, why........the fact remains, tis a done deal. (and I am only GUESSING, SPECULATING as well), and I think NBC is gonna be sorry for it. Someone said elsewhere, the plans for "replacement" are awful, so they won't get a thimble full of the ratings for the time periods, no matter how they try to switch around afternoon programming.
Does this mean there will be a replacement for him!!!

Well, I did it. I know I said I wouldn't, but I did. I paid the $2 for one month of Premium Peacock. I wanted to watch the Downton Abbey movie -- which I did last night. [I didn't know that the Dowager Lady Grantham was going to die in this movie. Now I feel like I'm grieving her death as well as the Queen's death!!]

I hope that during this month Stefan and Gabi reunite. I don't want to know anything more about Orpheus and his plot. I don't want to see them ruin Nicole, and I have no interest in Clyde, Alex, Sloan, Xander, etc., etc. So, I think the one month will be enough.

I still have not worked out when I will stream and will look forward to reading about everyone's experiences. It is still hard to believe this is happening.

Pardon my naivete, but here is a question for everyone: If the show gets renewed past September 2023 (I think that is the date of renewal) could ABC or CBS pick it up, or would Peacock have exclusive rights?

Or, if Peacock canceled it, could a network pick it up at that point?

Sorry for sounding so dumb, but hoping against hope we will see the show on a network again. Thanks!

I went ahead and signed up mainly because my husband has been wanting to see the new Jurassic movie and it would have cost $20 on Amazon and free on Peacock Premium. And now seeing LilO watched the new Downton Abbey there I’ll watch that too! I really hope Days gets better but we’ll see.
