Abigail probably won't press charges

The victim doesn't always have input on whether or not charges are levied against someone. The state usually brings the charges. As someone said upthread, "Only in Salem."

Abigail probably won't press charges because of some silly reason.

I'd lay money that Gabi unleashes the no baby/Arianna excuse, and Abby agrees to keep her out of jail. Dumb.

Or maybe.......since Gabi already served time in jail for something she did not do.....Abby says she has already done the time. I really hate how Chad stands around, looking impassively on, in any scene, and in the promos, his wife lands a punch on Gabi, and his expression doesn't change.

Chad sure isn't on fire lately. I would be willing to give Gabi a pass (for time served) but hopefully Abby lays clear terms that she is to be far, far away from her, Chad, and their children. I'm also concerned this is a pattern for Gabi (and Ron Carlivati, head writer). Perhaps Gabi should go to trial and when sentenced, her already-spent prison time is deducted from her eventual sentence.

While this is true, in this type of case, the victim pressing charges would strengthen the case.

Why do I have to wait until next Friday for this? There had better be an appetizer this week. I still fear we are going to get a quickie reconciliation once the Jack stuff kicks into high gear. Ron doesn't know how to balance multiple lead stories at once.

I too am hoping for less than a week of amnesia. Something to explain why he's not been in Salem: GOOD.

Something that keeps him from being the character we wanted back (à la Will, though it had a few moments): BAD.

So, he knows he is Jack Deveraux, but doesn't remember his life in Salem???
Back some years, Jack ran into Steve, an orderly at the hospital where Jack was a patient. So, he told Steve who he was really, brought him back to Salem, eventually Steve remembered. That was Stefano's doing.
Now, AM GUESSING, Eve sees Jack, tells his who he is, makes up something about being her husband, boyfriend, lover, whatever, and brings him back to Salem. Yep, NikkiFan, recycled, a variation on the theme.
Also really hope this is not the case, since Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) has said when she saw the script, she was shocked, never has seen anything like it.
