I'm sure right now Paige just thinks it's some random guy Eve hooked up with. She's made comments about how her mother was always involved with one loser after another.
As to the earlier point about rape and consent, I don't think Eve ever cared two cents about JJ's emotional state. Her intention was always to have Paige see JJ in the manner Eve wanted her to, not for JJ to feel unworthy of Paige. It was always about Paige dumping JJ, not JJ bowing out in a fit of low-self-esteem. JJ's feelings weren't even an afterthought. It's like saying that Daniel raped (or almost raped) Kristen because he was adversarial with her and told her multiple times Brady was too good for her and her plans would never work.
Muzza, if there is ever a Salem Spectator convention, do I ever have a joke for you! And we could have one heck of a potluck at such a convention, too. A lot of good cooks here! While I haven't watched Days for a few days now, I recall having suspicions that this is where it would lead to, back when JJ and Eve first started interacting. Not Eve crying rape but them bumpin uglies. LOL!
So much steam it clouded their eyes from seeing how gross it really was.Sadly, I did see three people saying they thought the "love" scenes between JJ and Eve were "hot and steamy"
If JJ had gotten drunk and had sex with Bev, Marybeth or anyone else but Eve the only question would be whether he was sober enough to consent, because those people were not the perpetrators of a psychological attack against him. Eve was. That's what makes this problematic in terms of consent.
It's like they put names in a hat and say "the next two names we pull out will be our next juicy hookup".
